It is good steel, just make sure you you have your shapes as even as possible as you will get a warp on heat treat, but when it doesent it makes amazeing blades.

I am using this for test grinding steel. Have not hardened

I didn’t have any issues with the steel showing up warped, ground down and worked just fine otherwise. Because of my inexperience I’m having issues heat treating this, but I’m not sure if it’s a me problem or the steel problem.

Some were anealed some were not. All were bent but I was able to flatten and strengthen them to usable knife steel

Good quality steel. They work well, mKe a good blade, harden well and take a good edge.

I've made three knives out of this material and have been impressed by the quality and price. 1084 is easy to work with for a newbie knife maker. Highly recommend.
