This mixing bottle is adequate for mixing 1 ltr of 2 stroke fuel. The measuring marks are just stuck on, near the neck of the bottle and are subject to getting oil and petrol on it. It would be better if the measuring marks were 'moulded' into the top of the bottle, so that the marks would not be affected by petrol/oil.

Great product that appears made well from thick plastic. The process of filling up is a little tricky but doable without spillages as long as you use a funnel. I planned on using the measurements on the side for 50:1 but ended up over filling with oil so had to do 25:1. For first time use though it will take a little time to get to grips with that. I mixed it up and poured it into my mcculloch chainsaw and it started perfectly and run well given its an old machine. I will be happy with using this mixing bottle ongoing. No concerns with leaks or poor fitting lids, i experienced neither of those. As others mentioned, it would be good to have cleared markings.

Getting the correct mix of 2-stroke fuel is vitally important, and the last thing that you want is to damage expensive equipment because of a cheap mixing bottle. Thankfully this bottle has markings that are accurate enough that your mix should be safe. It's not hard to use, simply add petrol to the 1 litre mark, add 2-stroke oil to the desired mix mark, and shake. Does it leak? NO Does it mix a batch to the correct ratio? YES I have mixed a couple of litres with this, run it through the Japanese, precision engineered, internal combustion engine attached to my chainsaw - and the chainsaw ran beautifully. This chainsaw is very fussy with respect to oil ratios, a little too much oil and it smokes and hesitates on acceleration. This seemed to make a mix just right for my equipment so I am more than happy to recommend it. The only reservation I have is that the markings are printed rather than moulded, this implies they may wear off at some point, but so far there is no evidence of this. Pros - Doesn't leak - Accurate enough for my needs - Angled neck makes pouring out easy Cons - Printed rather than moulded markings may not last - Angled necks make filling a little awkward - always use a funnel

This is a great mixing bottle. Well marked and perfect for filling my strimmer.

Filled up with one litre of petrol to the line as per the instruction which was a chore in itself. The line on the side is hardly visible the line on the paper is not level with the line on the side. The plastic is so thick that the only hope of seeing if the petrol is on the line is by putting a light behind the cannister. Anyway eventually managed to get it on the line. Added 20ml of carefully measured oil (using a 25ml tube measure). The contents hardly moved up, they came nowhere near reaching the 50:1 line. Emptied and tried again and to reach the 50:1 line I had to add 35 ml of oil. Which makes the 50:1 line 28.5:1... Almost double of what is required. My advice .. don't bother.

I really like the concept and how simple the mixing of gasoline and oil becomes using this mixing bottle. I always struggle with the 2 cycle fuel mix. Using this ALM bottle it's totally easy and the mixing is really accurate. I also like the quality of the product. It's made with a heavy guage plastic. It's very durable, so it may we'll out-last me. I use it to mix fuel for my chainsaw.
