Awesome if you take care of it
I saw a lot of reviews saying these didn't work well or stopped working. I bought 4 of these, and they all work, and really well. I live on Lake Michigan where it's VERY windy, and these are the only lighters that stand up to the wind. You do have to keep the tips clean -- when lighting something, don't let the electric tips touch it, or they get gunked up -- that's probably why people were saying they stopped working. You have to keep it clear so the electrical current can connect. I dropped one of them multiple times on the rocks at the lake. It's scratched up, and the charging and power buttons now have a loose connection, but it still works! And the other 3 are still going strong, and year and a half later. I rotate them, so I do let them change quite a bit, but the charge lasts me several days, and I use them a lot. So, maybe there are a few lemons in the bunch, idk, and idk where the bad reviews come from, because I can't say anything other than these are great. You can only light small things with them -- whatever can fit between the electrical nodes, but I love them :-)

Not a total replacement for cigar lighters, but......
I must admit, I bought this mostly for the cool factor. The size, shape, lid, etc. make it hard to fit into many spaces, so lighting a candle (for instance) might be tough, depending on what kind it is. Cake candles, great. Jar candles, good luck. But it's cool! The sound might drive your dog a little mad, but they get used to it. It almost goes without saying, but you'll need to charge it fairly frequently. Having said that, it lasts longer than I thought it might, and the build quality is solid. It feels heavy in your hand, and the lid doesn't feel cheap, it snaps open briskly, and the sound upon closing it is solid. Does it light your cigar? Yep. Is it as easy as a three-torch, almost-welder-level lighter? Of course not. But it's pretty cool. I'm getting one for a buddy.

Pretty Paperweight
Don't waste your money. Piece of junk. I charged it as instructed when it first arrived. It worked fine. I didn't have occasion to use it for a month. When I picked it up again it flickered briefly then went out. Fine, I thought, the battery's dead. So I plugged it in to recharge. Nothing. No charging lights came on. I left it overnight to be sure. Nothing. Totally dead. And don't tell me it has to be kept charged. That's baloney. Cheap product. Not cheap price.

Nice, lights cigarettes easily
Pretty, works well, doesn't require its own unique USB connection. The cable provided is 3" long. Four stars is based on noise. The sound spooks the dogs a bit.

Cool looking
Looks great and works great. Lasts for 2-3 packs of cigarettes. Recharge is quick.

Not good for Cigars
Does not work as described, took most of a charge to light two cigars, works ok on cigarettes.

Excellent but short life
I bought this later because I had a trigger thumb and it's been wonderful. My trigger thumb is gone it holds a charge it lights everything I needed to light. However I just checked and I bought it in May and now the button you press to ignite it does it work. First it was spotty and if I kept trying it would eventually work. But the last few days I've had to resort to regular Bic lighter, so I'm ordering a different brand of the same kind of model. It's just cheaper if I'm going to have to buy one every 5 months.
