Pyramex Aluminum Full Brim Hard Hat Face Shield Adapter

Summary: I have worked in industrial areas since 2008, so I have had quite some time wearing hard hats. I have also used a couple of chainsaw/forestry specific ones, so I'll include those for comparison as well. I also ordered the mesh face shield and carrier listed below to use with this Ergodyne. TR specializes in forestry related equipment. Observations: One thing you can choose between is class C (vented) and class E (non-vented); most of mine have been non-vented, but for this one I ordered a vented one to see if it makes a difference with cooling? Recommendations: One benefit/feature of the 3M offering is a UV exposure sticker, which this Ergodyne doesn't have; it essentially indicates how much UV exposure from the sun your hard hat has absorbed, and if it is time to change (plastic will become brittle and possibly ineffective with significant sun exposure. Pros: TR Industries is a PPE (personal protective equipment) specialty manufacturer; comfortable suspension system; the TR face shields are some what universal fit, and works well with the Pyramex adapter. Cons: None for now. Conclusion: At $10 for the Pyramax adapter, and $20 for the 2-pack of face shields, rating both 5-stars. Also rated the Ergodyne hard hat 5-stars. The three together make a great system! It works perfectly with my old hardhat... Just what I wanted

Works well. Light and strong. Second ordered after leaving first out of town at job site. Don’t leave them laying around or they grow legs. Fits a Fibre Metal Roughneck like it was made for it. Good price. Minus one star for imported manufacture, otherwise made right.

There are ways to make an oven survivable but if the oven did not work well then we would not have been fed well. This attachment is weak at best to keep its self up but mixed with the minute it takes to shield and have its purpose is worth the time against the lasting thread that plastic offers the world at this time. For the look without the clear lens and the safety provided this product has a chance to aid the use with type 2 hard hats and our future. Working with them.

Fits my Bullard full brim forestry helmet great. Very solid. A real face saver when using a brush saw. Hinge holds shield up well when not needed. Good price.

Works well and is very economical

The bracket fits great and I have no issue but.... do not buy the face shields that Amazon recommends you pair it with as they do not fit at all. Not 1 of the 5 holes matched up si I had to cut it off and drill my own. Not easy . Pick what fits and ignore the stupid Ai.

Fits my hard hat perfectly. I like the flip up design that doesn't allow the face shield to keep sliding down. Excellent, compared to company provided unit. Good product for the money.

This is over priced, because I feel its made of cheap plastic.
