Easy to use and kept everything charged perfectly

I am on my trip now - 5 weeks overseas. For the first two weeks, this worked fine but I could not use my hair straightener, just standard electronics like my computer and phone. The straightener got so hot, so fast it ended up burning my hair. Now though, every time you go to push it into the wall, the prongs fall back inside. AND the prongs for the EU have fallen out. Total piece of crap! Now I need to scramble to find a new one in a remote part of Africa. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

So scary. At first we loved these and I was going to write a glowing reference. We have used them a total of 10 days. We started to notice a little smell but didn’t think it was a sign of anything dangerous until today when it smelled really strong and when I checked my charger plug to unplug it it was hot. Enough to burn my finger on the prong. It was definitely in the converter mode on not the adapter mode. I have a CPAP machine and thankfully it didn’t burn while I was sleeping. But within about 15 min of phone charging it melted as you see from the picture. Notice the melting took place right between the prongs. So weird and dangerous. Please be careful and avoid this product.

This product does not convert the voltage even in converter mode. I fried my curling rod and my mom fried her hair straightener using two different models of this same product. Also, the box makes a scary buzzing noise when plugged in to my phone even when it is just in adapter mode. I have another converter/adapter that does not make this noise or fry my heat tools. I wish I did not purchase this to use in Europe.

I recent travel outside the US and through this would help with conversion of watts to use my grooming device. Essentially it works but doesn’t stay in the wall really well and did not convert the current to use some devices

I bought this specifically for the voltage converter, and unfortunately you can't test this until you're already abroad. Doesn't work at all, blew the fuse and completely ruined one of my devices and failed to provide power to the rest. I don't recommend this product as now I'm still overseas, stuck with a faulty voltage converter and fried devices.

I tested it in "converter" mode using 220V, 60Hz U.S. The output was only 46VAC; whereas it's supposed to be 110V. The problem may be due to the frequency (Europe is 50Hz, not 60Hz), but I won't find out until we travel. If it doesn't work, my wife won't be able to use her hair straightener. All other devices that we have are 220V compatible, so we can use the "adapter" mode for those devices. If the converter works at 50Hz, I will update the rating to 5 stars.

Fried my $100 bottle sterilizer while traveling, I'd need to hunt for a new bottle sterilizer now that runs on 240v. it did work the first time. Second time just turning on the switch with literally same config and set up fried the bottle sterilizer. I had it in converter mode to convert 240v to 120v.
