Best novice autobody stud welder
If your looking for a high-end hobby/semi Pro bodywork machine, this is the one you need. It has a quick learning curve, a few minutes and you’ll be a pro. The auto feature takes a little getting used to, super handy when you need a firm grip and don’t want to press a button. Had some contact from auto Racing and decided to give it a shot on the repairs and even being a novice it’s coming out really clean thanks to this machine. For such a small machine, it’s packed with a lot of features that can do about anything you need. You’ll need to order some other items to complement the full use of this machine but overall, one of the Best Buy’s I’ve had all year.

Great unit for the cost
Took a lot of trial and error but once i learned the ins and out of it, this thing works great! Biggest thing i learned is when using the slide hammer attachment, don't apply pressure when welding the tip on. Just simple hold it against the panel. I have yet to have a bad vevor product

110 v
Im a fairly new body tech and Bought the 110v version on accident. I will say though it works great and wiggle wire is strong! Only downsides is the time it takes to change attachments and I had to buy a magnetic ground to be able to use it consistently but I was able to pull body lines and a jamb corner with the wiggle wire. Great tool for the price. You just gotta make sure all the attachments are on nice and tight when using.

Don’t be tempted
There is a lot to unpack. This tool gets mixed reviews for a reason. Can it work, yes. Does it work well, no. This is a fairly cumbersome and heavy piece of equipment. I tried every option that comes with this. All work basically the same (not very effective). The instructions are not good so you have to spend some time figuring out things for yourself. And don’t try on your workpiece. Learn on a scrap piece that is very similar to your project. Even though this is a heavy large piece of equipment it does NOT perform well. It only works with any consistency on very thin gauge metal. What I mean is that it only stays connected to your metal if you hold everything perfectly in place (and with the slide hammer attached it’s VERY heavy) and it only holds about 5 out of 10 times, less on heavier gauge metal like a motorcycle gas tank. For that it’s useless. If you increase the power just to get some good holds it can and will leave HOLES in the metal!!! It does plug into 120V. It has short cords which make it ultra frustrating (imagine you have to have it on an adjustable cart close to everywhere you want to use it). Not practical at all. It is so heavy with the slide hammer attached that you can’t physically hold it still enough to get a good weld to the object you are working on especially after failing multiple attempts. The concept it great, but poorly executed. If the cords were long, the slide hammer half the weight, the instructions were written well and comprehensively, the unit smaller and lighter, and the weld points way more secure, this would be a no brainer. BUT still would be concerning that holes get created. I say DO NOT BUY and invest some time in another device or glue PDR.

90e Model worked flawlessly
I have the 90E 220v version in the US plugged into a 50 amp outlet. Never used one before , but pulled out a small dent on a Transit van with no easy access to back side. This is an awesome tool that allows gentle and small movements of the area. Only other tool used was a small hammer. I picked the 220v version because I read some people were not happy with welding power or erratic spot adhesion. Running on a good circuit at 220 may possibly mitigate any performance issues since there should be no significant voltage drop to the unit. Cost was less than paint supplies and consumables to do repair.
