Rick Steves Snapshot Milan & the Italian Lakes

Introduction of top places , nice pictures all common things in all travel books. This book answers what tourist what to know in detail. Easy to read and follow. Great book.

Wanting to plan a trip to Italy. Rick Steves has been spot on in other places we've visited.

Truly, these books offer the basics, but if you are entrepreneurial and have some time, you will largely find the same advice offered on travel websites and blogs. With that said, I found these helpful in pulling together a short itinerary for two free days added on to a business trip and would use something more robust for a longer itinerary. I used desk research and a more extensive guide for things like ground travel advice, understanding safety as a solo traveler, broader customs, and understanding the best eats to be found in Milan. I was wistful for a stronger set of maps and more comprehensive travel guidance.

These Rick Steves guides are the best, and we have quite a few of them.

Just buy the Italy book. Nothing new here

Excellent details and descriptions of the area, includes walking tours, recommendations for restaurants and hotels. Also gives advice in regards to tour guides.

As with the first book delivered the replacement also has the first 24 pages were upside down relative to the cover and the remainder of the content !!

Very informative and great tips!

Small and expensive but if you need a guide to carry around this is the one. Plenty of detail, index. His general Italy book is much better value and contains same pages on Milan and Lake Como but is much thicker a d heavier to carry around.

The book is useful in its coverage of Milan but poor in its coverage of the lakes. It focuses on a particular destination on Lake Como (Varenna) but largely ignores Como itself and the other Lakes.
