Item was a little dry and was difficult to use

Sindoor and Kumkum powder are not the same thing. You are confusing everyone by saying they are the same thing. Materials used are different. This must be coming from southern India because in north, specially, the areas where married women use sindoor, like Bengal and Bihar, no one will say Kumkum. Kumkum and Roli are used for religious rituals while Sindoor is used by married women and for Devi only.

This is bright Orangey red. Not maroon like pictured. I bought this to wear for a wedding but did not use it as it was too bright.

Safe, chemical free ingredients, doesnt cause rash, colours are bright orangey red or maroon, both are lovely colours. Wont come off in rain and doesnt smudge when you sweat but OBVIOUSLY IT SMUDGES IF TOUCHED...the oils make it shiny and beautiful... doesnt leave a stain like most powders after u wash..very good quality in my opinion..
