Terraillon H500 Cream 5kg Capacity Traditional Mechanical Kitchen Scale.

I chose these scales because I just love the look of them and they fit well with my kitchen. They required some minimal assembly - the bars at the top needed to be screwed into place - which I wasn't expecting but it wasn't too big a deal as it only took a couple of seconds.I had worried that the pan on the top wouldn't be big enough for my needs, but it holds surprisingly large quantities and easy to clean. The dial is large and easy to read and I have found it to be very accurate. The only negative thing I have found is that because the measurements go up in increments of 25g/1 oz, it can be a little difficult to judge any measurement that falls in between. Obviously as they're quite big it helps if you have a lot of bench space or a large cupboard in which to store them away. On the whole I am very pleased with these scales and would recommend them.

Really nice, country kitchen style scales. Good sized, removable metal bowl. Clear, easy to read dial, both in imperial and metric. Hand fully adjustable via a small screw under the bowl, so you can add extra ingredients easily. The scales are sturdy but not cumbersome and look great in my kitchen. They are accurate and easy to use. Good price and good quality. Would buy them again and fully recommend them. Love that they go to 5kg rather than the more common 3kg.

Really great. Arrived promptly and well packed. Looks sturdy and will not run out of charge as there is no battery. Just plain and simple old fashioned scales. Cream one looks elegant

I didn't want a nasty cheap set of plastic 'buy at the supermarket' scales, but at the same time I could not bring myself to part with £40 + for the John Lewis end of the spectrum... These fit the bill nicely. All you have to do is screw on the base plate to suport the bowl and you're good to go!Not too big, will fit easily in a cupboard, or pretty enough to leave out on the side.Great finish / quality / price. Would recommend to others.

Great scales , nice and sturdy with a bit of retro charm to add character to your kitchen.Bought this for a 90 yr old who wanted to on keep baking ,using lbs and ozs.Also chose this model as it has numbers that are in larger and clearer. Easy to use for people with vision problems.

These scales are perfect. I'm not a baker and only use scales at birthdays and Christmas, so I've been using some cheap plastic ones that took me 10 minutes to get them to stay on 0. So, coming up to Christmas this time, I decided to buy some decent ones. Couldn't find any in the shops, so came on here and found these. Pleased I did, they are lovely scales. They look good, and weigh out everthing perfectly. Easy to get them to zero but the adjuster seemed abit flimsy, so I hope it stays accurate. It measures in pounds and grams, so can't go wrong with them. Would recommend buying them.

In this day of digital everything it's refreshing to find a product that harks back to less stressed times. If you're looking for petite, small footprint scales then these are not for you. However, if you're looking for scales which are accurate, simple to use, need no buttons pressed to operate, then these are for you.The scales are deceiving in that they are quite lightweight, but heavy enough not to move around when in use. Once zeroed they are accurate enough for all everyday uses and are robust enough to survive the most onerous of kitchen duties. The weighing pan is a good size and stays firmly in place. Reading off measured weights is simplicity itself with Imperial and Metric weights adjacent to each other on the face.The finish is a powder coating in a pleasing cream and this too has a robustness about it. All in all I give high praise to these scales, for the money they are excellent value. Ordering/shipping and despatch was expeditious - as I have come to expect from Amazon.

Excellent retro style scales, adjustments can be made with the little dial on top, this is ideal especially if your like me and use a small bowl for weighing the messier ingredients, you can zero the scale for the small bowl and then add sourdough starter or whatever, then remove and reset weighing your flour/water etc.the scales use kilos/grams and pounds/ounces and have good size readable numbers which make weighing small or large amounts easy.I know it's personal preference but for me the manual scales are more aesthetically pleasing than the digital scales.

Leider ist steht auf der Küchenwaage nicht HANSON, sondern es ist eine von Terraillon, da es HANSON nicht mehr gibt. Ich habe sie deshalb zurückgeschickt. Sie funktioniert bestimmt trotzdem gut, aber das Bild hätte man, meiner Meinung nach, trotzdem ändern müssen, da man sonst auch gleich die Günstigere von Terraillon kaufen kann.

Bilancia ben fatta e precisa, molto bella esteticamente e molto più grande di come me l'aspettavo. Dona alla cucina un'aria vintage!

J'ai achèté cette balance en 2012 et j'ai trouvé le prix-qualité pas top EUR 30,=). Maintenant j'ai vu que le prix est de EUR 20,= et ça je trouve beaucoup plus mieux.Balance fonctionne bien, esthétique bien aussi.Mais......C'est un peu leger et fabrication Chinoise (pas visible quand posé!).Désormais j'ai donné 5 etoiles: car c'est joli et ça fonctionne bien et ils ont baisser le prix sur un nouveau "bon rapport prix-qualité".
