Great mattress. Compared to a full, normal mattress, it's pretty thin. But it's still a decent thickness compared to what I was expecting; plus it's easily foldable and can be packed away. I find it comfortable enough on top of a tatami mat, but I'm looking for a pretty firm base to sleep on. Most importantly, it's a good quality product. Customer service is excellent! My initial package was stolen and the Emoor team was very proactive about arranging a free replacement. I really appreciated their generosity, politeness, and responsiveness.

This is amazing. I have been sleeping on a rolled duvet for 2 years or more to help my back but this, this, THIS... is a game changer for me. It is deep enough to stop joints from compressing on yje hard floor but not soft enough to cause me back issues. Easy to fold, excellent quality and a great price.

Fantastic product. Came exactly as described and works just as I expected it. I am a big proponent of futons, due to its health benefits, especially concerning back-related issues. These do a great job of tackling this, whilst maintaining the comfort. Not to mention having the benefit of room space due to the nature of having to pack it away.

Very comfortable futon and good quality too. Easy to fold away and nice to sleep on. If laying on a hard floor may not be thick enough for some people so its a matter of personal preference if using directly on a hard surface. Otherwise can also be used as a mattress topper.

Excellent well made product. I worried about how hard it was when I first lay on it but almost immediately I discovered it to be the best most comfortable bed I've ever owned. I making a moveable wall-butted head-board out out my old oak king-size and have added four beautifully comfortable bamboo pillows to finish of the my bedding/comfort requirements AND I can clear the floor space I need in the bedroom! Domo arigato!

Perfect night's rest - highly recommended if you're looking for a firm, natural support to rest on. Goes perfectly with the wooden base also from Emoor, which additionally 'tents up' to allow airing of the mattress.

(I know my bedroom is messy) I have slept on the floor practically my whole life. So I am not new to it. Previously used to sleep on a sponge, then tried memory foam but I find both make me sweat. This shikifuton is cool, easy to hang out to air and fluff. It has not lost its cushion. However I am sleeping on a carpeted floor with thick underpadding. So it helps. And because I sleep on the floor, I always had carpet in my bedrooms. I don’t know what it’s like on hardwood. I love my shikifuton. I recommend it to friends and family. It beats buying an expensive mattress and bed frame, not to mention the space a bed takes up, and how heavy it is to transport. I just roll up my shikifuton futon and put it in a laundry hamper to put out of the way. I have a whole couch set in my bedroom and I just move the coffee table and roll out my shikifuton to sleep. It’s great to align your back. I wake up refreshed as opposed to before when I used a mattress. I bought the large twin size 2 yrs ago for about $350. I would 100% buy it again.

This floor mattress is so comfortable- I think it is more comfortable than a typical bed or sofa for sleeping. I would recommend using a waterproof mattress protector and fitted sheet (regular full size fits the full mattress) as a cover. For a while I used to try to always use the slip cover (the zipper one that covers both sides) but it is too much of a pain in my opinion, especially if you are frequently changing the linens for young kids. I lay this atop a wool rug, and fold it up during the day. The full size easily folds into quarters and it can be stored behind a sofa. If you have a double bed it can also be stored as a topper. It’s a super comfy spot to watch movies and also great extra bed. I put it out in the sun sometimes to air it out. I have had three of these over years and can vouch for this model and brand. My cats also love it, we went without one for a short bit and they were so excited when the new one came in. The only downfall and reason I have had to repurchase is if you have pets or kids that have accidents- it is somewhat cleanable with an upholstery vacuum and enzyme cleaner along with sunning but at a certain point I just say ‘enough’ and replace it.

Habe den Futon hauptsächlich aus Platzgründen gekauft, da ich auf ein Bettgestell im Zimmer verzichten und den Raum/Platz tagsüber anderweitig nutzen wollte. Da ich sowieso harte Matratzen bevorzugt habe, sprach für mich nichts gegen einen Futon-Test. Die ersten beiden Nächte waren ungewohnt, habe mich aber schnell an das neue Schlafgefühl gewöhnt. Man liegt als Bauch- oder Rückenschläfer sehr komfortbel. Meiner Meinung nach hat der Futon die richtige Höhe, ist nicht zu dick und lässt sich daher auch gut rollen zum Verstauen. Die Tatamit-Matte ist ebenfalls leicht zu falten; sie hat anfangs einen Eigengeruch (nicht künstlich, eher natürlich, in Richtung Heu), nach ein paar Tagen auslüften auf der Terrasse ist dieser aber verflogen. Der Futon riecht soweit neutral. Beide Produkte machen einen hochwertigen und gut verarbeiteten Eindruck. Wichtig ist die (überschaubare) Pflege: Ein Laken sollte man trotzdem noch verwenden, je nach Boden vielleicht auch noch eine Decke/Teppich unter dem Tatami. Wichtg ist auch das Lüften von Futon und Matte morgens nach dem Aufstehen. Alles in allem ein durchaus geeignetes Set für all diejenigen, die Futonschlafen zumindest einmal ausprobieren wollen und sich nicht gleich in Unkosten stürzen wollen.
