Love it! Great taste, easy prep & good portion for me
Love this meal pack! Great taste, easy prep & good portion for me. I recently started a weight loss injection program so am eating way less but need to keep my protein intake up. This dehydrated veggie chili packs a bit 12g of protein for a small 100cal. Prepared it makes a good size meal - about 5oz of food which I pair with protein enhanced Kibo chickpea or lentil cracker/chips for a 20g protein/200cal meal which is plenty in volume to satisfy my reduced appetite. I really like the flavor and consistency of the chili - I like it thick so just use 6oz of hot water from my work water dispenser - you can use more for a more soup like consistency. It smells deliciously tomato-y and has a great spice flavor w/out being spicy hot. I got a couple cans of kidney beans (a great source of fiber & protein) and add 1/4 cup to the mix 1/2way thru cooking. I am currently only eating lunch & dinner w/ no snacks & just water or black tea to drink. The sodium level is not horrible in the mix and since I am not intaking any other sodium during the day it is well within healthy limits for me - actually benefits me, keeps me at sufficient levels. **Tip for cooking: use HOT water and microwave at 2 or 2.5min intervals - stirring in between. This will give you a even rehydration and good consistency. I wish this brand had more flavors with this setup/consistency - curry or stew flavors would be fun.

Doesn't taste like high protein healthy.
Love this vegetable chilli with beans. High protein meals are hit and miss. This one is a real winner. I add a sprinkle of cheese on top and I feel like I am cheating big time.

Good flavor
Healthy, more flavor than most bariatric foods.

Watch your microwave CLOSELY!
I bought this to have a quick, just add water lunch for work. At around $2 per serving, it seems to fit the bill, but you will only net around 7oz of total product. That's with 6oz water. That is, if you are able to keep all the water in your bowl. When I prepared my first serving, I followed the instructions explicitly. I added 6 oz of HOT water, then placed in the microwave for 5 minutes on HIGH. Well, I trusted the instructions and looked away for a few moments. Next thing I knew, the whole bowl of chili puked all over my microwave after just about one minute into the nuking. And I mean it PUKED. ALL over the microwave. ALL over my microwave safe bowl. All over the counter when I opened the door. UGH. And it dries SO fast that I had to scrub to get much of it completely cleaned up. Today, I tried pack #2. I added only about 4 oz of hot water. Set the paper towel-lined microwave to 75% for 5 minutes. I had to stop it a few times as I kept my eagle eyes on it. So far so good. Topped off the liquid in what looked to actually be a nice, clean, thick bowl of chili. Sigh. 30 seconds into the final 2-minute final cook, it puked again. Sigh. Another 10 minute clean up. Finally, the finished 6oz product seemed too watery. I think around 4oz for 5 minutes at 75% or lower is sufficient. But it just won't fill you up. It tasted good, though, which is why I generously blessed the product with three stars.

My new fav! WW approved
I have eaten this in the past and it was ok. I prefer cooking stove top. Keep in mind you can add veggies and seasonings to enhance it. I also like to add seasoned cooked 99% ground chicken to it for extra protein.( 1/2 cup). Perfect portion for lunch, and has a good texture. The calories are reasonable, and good carb count. 1 WW point. ( added green, and red bell peppers, 1/4 tchili powder, a shake of cinnamon, and a few grape tomatoes cut in half, and a few hot pepper flakes for some heat) So yummy!

Oh not good
I gave this a try to give the diet a little variety. Oh I was wrong. They call this sloppy Joe. I wouldn't be that kind. Being absolutely honest, my dog wouldn't eat it. It was more like bad tasting brown grits that were cooked wrong. I obviously don't recommend this.

Delicious!
I have always enjoyed "Sloppy Joes" but in the past years am saying away from red meat. This soy protein meat free mix was excellent and tasty and satisfied my urge for "Joes"!

Great Taste . .100 Cal, low carbs
I was a bit skeptical when ordering - chili in a dried pouch? When it arrived it took me a bit to decide to make a pouch for lunch. Opening the packet the aroma made my mouth start to water, it smelled that delicious. However I didn't exactly follow the directions on the package for the better. Package says to add 6 oz of water. I used my Keurig to add 8 oz to start. I almost always add a bit more water than asked for. After I stirred it, back to the normal directions of 3 min in the microwave, stir, and then 3 more min in the microwave. At this point, it was very thick, looked yummy, but also very small portion. The picture on the box must be in a very small bowl. It was thicker than I make my own Chili so back under the keurig it went and I added about 2 or 3 more oz of hot water. Perfect. The texture was great. The smell was great. The taste was unbelievable for a dried veggie based chili. I could have eaten more but I wanted to keep it to the 100 cal. So I had a little garden salad to go with it. Also, being a diabetic I watch my blood sugars. This was barely a blip on my readings. Just wish it was a little less expensive. $10 a box would be easier to swallow. At $10 it would be an everyday lunch for me. At current price, its a once or twice a week lunch. All in all, I will be getting this again. Very happy with my purchase.
