Strong and effective masonry drill bit
I bought this Bosch masonry bit to drill 65mm deep holes for anchor bolts to attach a ground anchor (to secure a motorcycle) to a concrete drive. I was poised to borrow a mains powered drill to complete this work but it turned out my Black & Decker 18v cordless hammer drill was up to the task when using this drill bit. The bit narrows so that it fits into the drill whilst drilling a hole that’s 16mm in diameter The type of drill that I have possibly wasn’t ideal for this job but I was able to drill the required four holes accurately and to the required depth for the anchor bolts without too much difficulty. I cannot fault this product at all. It’s reasonably priced, durable and completed the required task without effort.

Large chuck required
Great drill. Did the job. Very effective but shank requires a large chuck

It's tough and reliable
It's a really durable product. I drilled through 500mm of brickwork to run an EV cable into the garage. It took time, not quite like a hot knife through butter as you'd expect but it withstood the task really well. Well made and got the job done!

Great
Cuts through brick like butter. It does need some serious drill power to do the job quickly and efficiently. Great bit for the price and is built to a high standard.

Used for drilling in concrete - worked well
I used this drill bit for installing two ground anchors in the concrete floor of my garage. Admittedly, this was just four holes in total but it took just minutes to do and there's still life left in the drill bit

OK for single use & Cheaper than hiring tradesman.
I bought this to use with my hammer drill (to run 15mm pipe as conduit through the wall) so that I could fit an outdoor double socket with wifi extender for my garden. Using 15mm pvc pipe as conduit is much easier than trying to poke cable through walls with cavity insulation. There aren’t many drill bits this size that fit a “normal” drill so I was pleased to find this one. I added a spur from the socket beneath my kitchen sink. My kitchen was all totally rewired during an extension a few years ago, so I’d photographed the build at different stages. The 2nd fix electrics pics, showing cable layouts, confirmed to me that adding a spur would be totally fine. This drill bit cut through the inner block wall like butter but when it hit the outer brick wall it struggled. However, I persisted with it, pushing the drill as much as I could and with patience (& lots of effort on my part) it did eventually cut through the brick wall. I’m a woman, so I know I don’t have as much strength as a bloke, but I have lots of DIY experience and this drill bit isn’t the best quality. I’m sure it shouldn’t have been as difficult to drill one small hole through brickwork. Some years ago, I hired a diamond core drill kit to cut through my old kitchen wall to install a tumble dryer vent. That diamond core drill did cut through the bricks very easily; such a contrast to this drill bit! The end of this drill bit was blunt by the end, so it was single use in my case. The positives are: • It did the job. • It’s much cheaper than hiring a tradesman. I would recommend this drill bit for single use.
