Why did you pick this product vs others?: I wanted a copper analog thermometer that had clear Celsius and Fahrenheit and a fairly accurate measurement. I placed it in the shade on my porch and it has consistently displayed the same temperature as the weather report for my area (+/- 1 degree).

This is a great-looking, sturdy and apparently accurate thermometer, but I have two problems with its readabilty. The first, and this is more a matter of just what I'm used to, is that the Centrigrade readings are on the left and the Fahrenheit on the right, which is the opposite of all other thermometers I have ever owned, so until I get used to it I need more than just a quick glance. The other problem, and it's more significant, is that the finish on the metal is much darker than shown in the illustrative photo and, while it is very attractive, it is extremely difficult to see the black numerals against the steely gray of the body. The only way to make that easier would be to move it into direct light, which is exactly where a thermometer should not be. Were I to buy another, I would not get this color. Edit: I neglected to look carefully at how this thermometer is calibrated. It only goes to 104 degrees and this range is no longer adequate for summers in inland California.

Not accurate. Liquid column and number scale enclosed in clear tube. Air in tube heats up on sunny and temperature reading goes up.

Hard to read, but good quality

Arrived in perfect condition, looks and feels very nice. Easy to install with included screws. Very easy to read, it is bigger than expected. Shows the correct temp, as long as it's not in direct sunlight. Installed on the wood trim outside window. Can be easily seen from inside.

The first one was made of plastic. The plastic rotted and fell apart. The second one was cheap and didn't work. This one is metal and works. It looks good, too.
