This was for my mom, she absolutely loves it, says it looks great on her mantlepiece, quite big so she can easily read it.....and it's silent, no ticking, which drive her mad with her last clock.

When I looked closely at the clock after opening the box, I was frustrated to see a black speck and bits of dust inside behind the glass. I thought hmm, I like it and don't want to return it. I removed the lid and used a hair drier and soft paint brush to clear the annoying bits. A quality control issue solved but I am happy with the clock.

I love the clean lines of the clock, the appearance of the face being suspended, so you can see through to the wall behind. The time is easy to read, and it feels substantial and not flimsy. We are very pleased with this choice.

I spent a while looking for a good looking clock for the mantlepiece that was both classic and modern and able to blend in with any style of room, and this is it. It looks lovely in the room and the floating clock face design is really effective and the fact you can see your wall colour through it helps it blend into the room, it goes perfectly with the new silver candle holders we bought and is clear to read from over the other side of the room. The quality of the clock is amazing for the price we paid, it is weighty, doesn't look or feel cheap, has a good shine and high quality clear glass, and even has a silver backing cap to hide the back of the clock/battery area which is only a small thing but is testament to the extra quality/attention to detail that you wouldn't expect on cheaper clocks. Importantly it is accurate and has not lost any noticeable time in the first two months of use. This clock has really finished off our room and gets noticed by visitors. Given the quality and price of some of the clocks I've seen I honestly think if I told them it was £90 from John Lewis they wouldn't even question it, the fact it is £30 from Amazon makes it a steal.
