To avoid this, you should make the food a little wet or simply sprinkle some water on it before feeding. This is dry food and contains air, and if a cat eats it in a hurry without chewing properly, it can cause irritation and lead to vomiting. Always keep a bowl of water beside the food bowl, or add some water to the food before feeding.
