Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life - Nintendo Switch

So far I absolutely love it. Only been playing for and hour but I think it’s amazing. Huge nostalgia from the original game with only a few different things and ungraded textures applied. Not sure why some of the characters names were changed while others weren’t but either way so far so good and everything I hopped for from the revamped of the game I loved as a kid. Will update after playing further. !!!UPDATE!!! So I’ll start with a few pros 1. I love that you can be a girl and customize your character a little and even change your hair later on if you want in the mirror 2. Love that they didn’t change the storyline. Same things happen that happen in the og (rip Nina) 3. More people to choose to marry 4. You can actually see when you need to eat and sleep instead of randomly falling over 5. There’s a path now between the dig site and the sprites forest area and I love it 6. Molly (aka Muffy) and Celia are both the same bright people in the game 7. Events like in the other games Now to the cons 1. The animals. The cows are the same cute definitely and I love them but the horse, sheep, and chickens are their new style and are just plain ugly. The horse especially. I hate riding the horse now cause it just looks janky and has this weird glitch where it slowly walks first them runs. OG horse I way better. Sheep is pink for some god forsaken reason and I hate it a lot, this is coming from a girl who’s character has pink hair. The sheep just doesn’t match the game. The chickens while aren’t terrible just like the horse and sheep don’t match the rest of the game. 2. There are too many unneeded and unnecessary cut scenes with the sprits. They get annoying. And some unneeded scenes in general but the others I don’t mind. 3. I’m only on year 2 but there isn’t the 2 extra fields with better soil in the back. Hope that comes later on but it if it doesn’t it’s kinda a bummer 5. Dig site is a little hard to dig because the dig site people get in the way ALL THE TIME! 4. (More personal preference then anything) I honestly hate that you can date Lumina but not Flora. Lumina I never liked even in the og game and honestly having Flora as a bachelorette would have been amazing. Over all I still love the game. There’s some improvements that can be made but that’s any game you play. It’s still a good game and gives huge nostalgia for an OG player.

It’s a great game .

Fun story mode, interactive play that does not get boring. I appreciated the value for the many hours of play this afforded me. Worth it to pick this one up on sale as its an easy going story with no fighting.

It’s exactly as I remember from when i was kid. So nostalgic. It runs smoothly and looks great on a bigger tv.

I played this game as a kid and was OBSESSED. I have now played the remake as an adult.... TWICE. I love this game. It's calming and fun. It's interesting to get to know the characters and see what your child grows up to be. Like the original, towards the end it gets very slow. You're just sort of waiting for the end of the game. But if you're in the market for a game that soothes your anxiety and is just a nice relaxing farm simulator, this is it. My main complaint is that some of the janky controls from the original really could've been deleted, but they kept them. Like the hitbox on chicken eggs, the sheep following you everywhere and screaming, only being able to ship produce, ect. But this gane also kept the charm of the original, and expanded on it. I love being able to marry whoever despite gender and look the way I want. I love the Goddess tools and the improved farming mechanics. Fans of the OG will be pleased with this. New players looking for a relaxing game will be pleased, too. However, people looking for heavy incentive gameplay will be let down. This is truly a sort of "casual walk in the park" sort of game. There aren't stakes. You just go through your life as a farmer and raise your family.

A classic game revisited!! I absolutely love this game. I still have my old Gamecube copies of both games that are merged with this one. This is a fantastic remaster with a few very good quality of life improvements. I bought this game for under $25 USD, but it's honestly worth double that. I've had the game for just over 2 weeks and already dumped 50 hours into it. It's good to relive this game!

Its what it says on the tin, a remake of harvest moon a wonderful life. Theres some qol changes but tbh they could of done more

I love these Harvest Moon spin dupes. There's always something to do so kids are entertained & the game isn't full of smut, gore, etc. just a good ol farming game

This is my first experience playing this title. I somehow missed it when it came out on Gamecube etc. Am a fan of both Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons. I'm enjoying it so far. From what I see, the art is updated. Nice!

A wonderful remaster with very few changes. Mostly quality of life improvements and a much brighter color palette. If you remember booting the original up on gamecube, you will be happy with how they handled the remaster. A heart touching story with a lovely town that ages with you as you journey through your life in Forgotten Valley.
