I use this to support my Achilles tendinitis. I have this on my skin for up to 5 days and shower every day. Stays on when I swim for 45 minutes and then is easy to peel off. Otherwise I do find it takes time to take of and can bruise my skin. I have found that it does not irritate my skin especially as I do have sensitive skin. Seeing as it’s pre-cut I am surprised that it frays at the edges and requires snipping off.

In comparison to other tapes, this one for me is the best the adhesion is very good and stays on for up to a week even more at times however clothing will pull on it on occasions.

First week of January I fell down some steps and tore ligaments in my ankle (not a good start to 2017). A month off work and confined to 'desk duties' three months later and it still hasn't healed fully. I've only just recently stopped using a stick, but the ankle is still weak with walking. Kinesiology tape is something I had heard of, but didn't know much about apart from the strips of what looked like coloured tape on Olympic athletes. Without going into the scientific principles behind the tape (neuromuscular feedback?), the tape supposedly 'relieves pain and supports muscles and joints', so I was eager to give it a try. There's a fold out instruction sheet with details and picture to show how to use the tape correctly, but I had more luck with the online videos (especially the one about ankle sprains). As the tape is pre-cut into (almost) 10 inch strips it's pretty simple to work out the method without wasting tape. I did like the 'twist to easy tear' backing paper that made things easy. So, I showered, then shaved my ankle (preferable to pulling leg hairs afterwards) before strapping up and it only a minute or so watching the video. In use, I spent the day in London, walking around with a wheelie bag of heavy office kit and standing for several hours. This was the longest I'd been on my feet for weeks. At the end of the day my ankle was feeling good and as I didn't have any instances of undue motion of the ankle, it wasn't too sore at all. The tape stayed on for several days only to practically fall off in the shower. Over nights with a sock covering the tape, the glue stayed put. I'm no athlete, but I do believe this tape has helped my weak ankle. Worthwhile shopping around to find the best deal on the tape, unless you prefer the convenience of pre-cut lengths.

Does the job

Fantastic product - lasts days even with daily showers I have used to to help recover an mcl tear in my knee and now a bad ankle sprain. I am a climber and this product has helped me get back to it sooner as I can still wear my tight shoes over the kt tape so I have great support. I have used other brands and had blisters and reactions to the adhesive. However I’ve used kt tape for years and never had a reaction Can’t recommend it enough!

Adhesive on tape not working. Its dry. Packaging is old and tired looking. Waste of money

If you are after a tape to last more than a few hours this is the tape for you. The adhesive is much stronger than the cheaper or basic versions. I bought for use on my ankle and shoulder and it holds in place for a couple of days even with showering etc. The cheaper version i bought previously only lasted a few hours & it started peeling during that time. In my opinion its worth spending a few extra pounds on the pro version, especially as you are using it to help and prevent injuries and aid performance. It also works out better value in the long run if it lasts for a few days rather than hours.

たまにいつやったのかわからない捻挫をしてしまって、 それでも日課の室内トレーニングをしたくて、 本製品に助けられました。 軽い捻挫だったのですが、 室内トレーニング休むとパフォーマンスレベルを取り戻すのに時間がかかるため、 どうしても休みたくなく、利用しました。 身体に無理な動きを強いず自然な動きをサポートすべく、 ネットで貼り方を見ながらやりました。 ノリが強くて剥がすのに難儀しましたが、 トレーニングで汗をかいても問題なく、結果的に大いに助けられました。 あえて言うなら、剥がした後のノリが残るのが面倒くらいですかね。

llegué a probar otras que se despegaban facil despues de uno o dos dias pero este ni con la fricción de la ropa ni con el ejercicio todos los dias se despega, dura más de 5 dias facil , tampoco se despega al bañarse, lo unico a tomar en cuenta diria yo es que tarda un poco en secarse despues de bañarse pero nada molesto. el pegamento es fuerte y duradero si lo recomiendo. da soporte al area donde se coloca

No es ni mucho menos la más barata, pero vale la pena. Aguanta lluvia, sudor y movimientos constantes como puede ser una carrera. Tambien cabe decir que no causa, por lo menos en mi caso, ese picor que producen algunas cuando la llevas varios días. He repetido varias veces por que calidad/precio, es la mejor sin duda

The best out there

This is hands down the best tape I've tried. I have tried Mueller, theraband, and all the other types of the kt tape brand. This pro extreme is the best. None of the other types stay adhered through 45 minutes of soccer. The pro extreme stays stuck on for a full 2 hours of soccer, the shower after, rolling around in bed, putting socks on and off. Pro extreme will stay on for several days no question. Unmatched quality, unmatched adhesion. Only the pro extreme works as advertised. Spend the extra couple bucks on this if you actually want to wear it for more than a few hours.
