NGT Carp Fishing VX2 Black Bite Alarm with Volume and Tone Control with Battery

As a rule I don't use bite alarms but I thought I'd better have one just in case the need arose. I didn't want to spend a lot on something that not going to get a lot of use. I came across the VX2 Bite Alarm by NGT...at a price I could not refuse. This is a very compact alarm much smaller than the brick sized items I've had many years before. Black in colour it also comes with a LRV08 Alkaline battery and a very handy green nylon storage case. An easy set up with metal screw thread fitting. Variable volume and tone controls. A latching 20 second LED. Jack socket and is waterproof. It works a treat. Loud enough to wake the dead. How did I ever manage.

Used for a few sessions now, not the best built obviously given the low cost but better than expected and I have caught a lot of fish using it and its been a solid alarm and is loud if you need it to be

I've not been carp fishing for very long and thought I'd pair one of my carp rods with it. The alarm cost next to nothing but I have nothing but praise for it. It's easy to use, you can change the volume easily and it's loud enough for anyone to hear. A great little piece of kit that I would recommend to anyone starting out carp fishing.

I've had 4 of these. They are excellent. They are very sensitive. Sound frequency is proportional to speed of line movement. They work equally well for forward and backward line movement. My original pair are about 5 years old and going strong. They dont accidentally switch on in your bag. The battery flap is easy to open without tools, but doesnt come open on its own. They look and seem cheap, but they work well and can take rain and abuse. Ive tried for years to find a better, more professional bite detector.

A great value bite indicator for a very reasonable price. It been done years since I last bought one of these, also NGT. I like the new style battery, much easier to insert, than the old style 9 volt square ones. The quality is excellent as was the delivery. Why spend lots of money, when one of these does the job perfectly.

They worked well for me, not bad.

Works well , very pleased with it . Purchased for my eight year old grandson and will order one for myself , will make a very cheap spare. Delivered earlier than expected too. Shame that it came without the battery promised in description , other reviews make it clear this happens frequently . Shame I would have given five stars if as described.
