Hair Genetics Dark Brown Hair Fibres (22g) for Hair Loss & Thinning Hair

I have been using Mane thickening spray for some time (expensive!) and decided to try the "shake on" fibres instead. Pleasantly surprised at the results - more natural looking and overall less mess since you control the application more directly. Just some advice for anyone who, like me, was apprehensive about using fibres. 1) Apply fibres to CLEAN, freshly shampooed and DRY hair without any product such as gel or wax. The fibres attach to the hair better this way. You can style your hair once the fibres are applied as long as you do so gently. 2) The colour you use is a matter of experimentation. I used a mid brown Mane spray, so I just went for medium brown fibres. They are slightly darker (also probably to do with the brand being different), so I will probably try the next lighter shade. However, I kind of like darker hair and have no issue with people assuming I've dyed it! 3) Order a good spray applicator. When I say "spray" I mean you're still using the fibres, but the applicator uses a thin nozzle to pump and target the fibres in a more precise way. Good for hairlines. I use the Fab Hair Fibre Applicator. 4) Don't just pour on the fibres and use a fixing spray. Pat them down and work them into the hair a little, maybe comb/brush lightly to distribute the fibres more evenly. People complaining about "clumps" or an unnatural look are probably neglecting this step. Have patience! 5) For crown thinning, place the shaker close to the scalp and use a circular motion occasionally tapping. In fact the circular motion is generally good for optimum distribution. Use a hand mirror to ensure you have an even spread. This takes some practice but you'll get it! 6) If you're doing the hairline you will inevitably get some of the fibres on your forehead. I use a razor to carefully scrape down from the hairline and then brush off the excess with one of those clipper cleaners. You can also use wet wipes. 7) Don't wash your hair every day. There's really no need and you will save money by only having to apply fibres every other day. Using a good fixing spray will keep your hair protected and looking clean for a couple of days and the fibres won't go anywhere until you wash. 8) Yes, it can be messy. But the more it becomes your routine, the better at controlling the mess you'll become. Using an applicator pump helps to control it. If you live with other people, do them a favour and wipe down after use! Just common sense really. Even though the above steps seem time consuming, once you have got the hang of it, you should have everything done within 5-10 minutes or so. I think these fibres would have far more 4-5 star reviews if people followed the above steps.

Bought these Hair building Fibres for myself and my mother who suffer from some intermediate hair thinning to wear at parties, social gatherings etc. Despite the product only being 22g, the hair dispenser is really tailored towards ensuring enough product is being applied whilst conserving a large amount of the fibres, making this product last very long and justifying the price (lasted around 1-2.5 months with moderate use). The fibre colours itself is aimed for a thick SHARP black and WILL STICK OUT if the natural hair is any other colour (although you might get away if you apply some to your fingertips and apply at the base of the scalp to act as black roots). The application process is really easy and due to the fibre powders being quite fine, even a mess up can easily be cleaned up/wiped. ==Overall Review== Advantages: +Content of the Container lasts very Long! +Good results for people with dark black hair (be careful when applying for other sets of hair) +Sticks to scalp, giving it a NATURAL full-set-of-hair appearance +Can be washed out easily with shampoo +Relatively Cheap when compared to other products! Disadvantages: -Relatively small container (with just 22g of content) which when abused won't last long -If not careful can stain with vigorous use -Shade of black really dark In conclusion I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone seeking a temporary relief, with it looking natural enough to wear at special events such as weddings. -Shaker

The colour match is good and it doesn’t seem powdery. When used with a locking spray (I use a different manufacturer’s) it holds very well in wind/rain. Cheaper than other products too. Only issue is that it’s very easy to use too much given the number of holes and the size of them.

It's a decent one for the price. Serves the purpose for a day.

My hairdresser told me of a similar product, whilst looking for the product that's more expensive, found this alternative so took the risk of the cheaper version, I must say I'm delighted with it, as my hair is thinning badly and there's very visible bald patches I'm very conscious of how noticeable it is so anything is worth trying. Ordered Tuesday using prime as I was going away Wednesday for the night to see a show. Thankfully It came in time to take with me, washed my hair ready and tried it out that night and WOW it really works, really easy to apply just like sprinkling a coloured talc on powder over the scalp then used the kerafiber hair spray to seal the fibres in place. One tip to share is like talc containers there's lots of holes to release the powder I just uncovered 2 holes to be in control of how much at once was coming out. This product is suitable for men and women and I highly recommend it.

Excellent for hair loss or if you want thicker looking hair! I lost most of of hair due to cancer treatment and this made a big difference for me! Don’t buy the more expensive ones, this is cheap and does the job perfectly! It literally transforms thin hair into a thick head of hair! My only dispute is if you keep toughing your hair or lean your head on a light coloured chair for example some of the brown residue will come off but it’s not noticeable to other people. Couldn’t recommend highly enough! Very pleased!!!!!

I wish I had Read some previous reviews! This is by far the worst quality hair fibres. My head was itchy after first use and my hair looked really bad. It didn't stick to the hair itself and instead left like a brown patch on head skin under the hair which was clearly noticeable. So embarrassing when my wife told me. I couldn't even return it by then as the return window was closed already. Guys DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I am so happy! For a long time I was using a very expensive brand thinking that was it, I only wear fibres when going out socially. Whilst in isolation I did some research and came across this, did a test run of them this afternoon with some locking spray and the results are AMAZING. I am now confident when the lockdown is over and we can go out again, I shall have this beautiful product at my disposal to ensure my confidence is maintained.
