Because the way the brushes are made and the precision they are made with, it’s very easy and smooth to write with them, even draw with them. It also comes with a foam like mat that you can use to avoid from the ink from seeping through. It has a pen holder and an ink container. They also gifted a small flower petal gift pouch just not sure for holding what but thank you.

Learning Chinese Calligraphy and Sumi-e painting so need a good starter kit. This set has everything and just need to buy a couple of smaller calligraphy brushes. Good quality, great price and nice storage box to carry to class. One happy customer!
