You get what you pay for
Firstly, these cars are by no means amazing. They are standard toys that can break fairly quickly upon impact. However, they can provide hours of play as they did for my son and his friends and for the money it cost you certainly get what you pay for, if your willing to pay more - you get more durability. Less money = less durability. Considering everything though I can recommend these especially for parents on a budget.
