I bought this to wear to breakfast in hotel for upcoming holiday and it does look very high quality and stylish. Unfortunately very painful to wear and I can barely walk in it as my foot adjusts to the footbed. But I have researched this and it's very common with Birkenstocks and requires a wearing-in period and most people experience pain and discomfort at the beginning. I am wearing it a little each day and hopefully it should fit well and the pain will disappear soon. I think that long term I will be very happy with this purchase.

Would have been happier if made from real leather, otherwise they fit well and are comfortable.

What can I say .... I just bought a different pair 2 weeks ago and love them so much that I decide to check if Birkenstock had these type in my big size (UK 9 ) ... And you did :) I can't explain how happy I am to finally have these shoes in my size.. As I said in my other review.. I've waited years to find these :) again you didn't disappoint :) thanks so much :) they fit like gloves. :) love them :) hopefully I'll be able to get a pair of your clogs too in my size but it will be a few months before i can order those .. have to save up for those now :)

Birkenstock kenne ich schon ewig und weiß auch um die gute Qualität und das man seinen Füßen damit gutes tut. Aber mal ehrlich, die meisten Modelle machen sich wirklich nur zu Hause oder wenn man einer medizinischen Arbeit nach geht. Wenn man etwas schickes sucht, was dem Fuß schmeicheln soll, sucht man doch meistens nicht bei Birkenstock. Als ich dieses Modell aber im Sommer bei einigen Stars und Sternchen gesehen habe, habe ich mir das Modell auch mal bestellt. Da ich schon gelesen habe, dass die Schuhe etwas größer ausfallen, habe ich mir statt 44,5/45 wie etwa bei Nike mal Größe 44 bestellt und bin darin fast versunken. Die Schuhe fallen tatsächlich so groß aus, dass das erste Paar zurück ging und ich mir bei der nächsten Bestellung 42 und 43 bestellt habe. Im Prinzip habe ich sogar in 42 noch gut reingepasst. Da aber empfohlen wird, vorne und hinten etwas Platz zu lassen, habe ich mich letzendlich für 43 entschieden. Das sollte man also unbedingt mit einberechnen und ggf mehrere Modelle bestellen und mal einige Schritte durchs Haus gehen. Ansonsten kann man wirklich sagen, dass der Schuh ein super Mix aus Flip Flop und Gesundheitsschuh ist. Er vereint, das lockere Design des Stegs des FlipFlops und hat dennoch ein super Fußbett für die Gesundheit des Fußes, was man bei FlipFlops sonst natürlich nicht hat. Hier hat man also einen Schuh den man trostlos auch schick außerhalb des Hauses tragen kann. Man muss nur auf die richtige Größe achten.
