Amazing product worth the time to put together
The good: it’s a lot more sturdy than reviews are stating, I will say adding liquid nail to all pieces being screwed and or nailed for added support helped tremendously I poured a 10x7 concrete foundation for a much more durable support to add this to off the side of my house. The 8x6 fit snug as I added a gutter and downspout to the back to have water flow away from the house as the shed backs up along side it. The bad: I recommend people who buy this product be handy and have some type of framing experience. I can see how this would be difficult for a novice person to put together. You can hire someone to do so but it’s very satisfying doing it yourself and modifying it some with extra 4x4 studs or shelving inside. This she’s took me two weeks to complete only due to me working 12 hr shifts four days a week so had limited time. Matching the paint with the house and added a gutter perfectly accents my work and would definitely purchase again.

6x8 handy homes shed
This shed is ideal for my space and needs. I’m a 68 yr old lady and I assembled it easily. Directions were clear and precise. Parts fit perfectly. Very reasonable price.

Instructions leave a lot to be desired
2x3 framing was a disappointment. If we weren't installing it under cover against the house, sturdiness would have been a concern. We received several twisted/warped boards...had to buy a couple and use furniture clamps on others. There are errors in the instructions. On Page 30 the instructions call for a 93-inch 2x4 with a tapered profile. DO NOT cut the 8-foot piece to 93 inches or it will be too short! Luckily, we questioned it before we used it. If you install the door hardware as instructed on Page 45 the doors will not open or close. We had to plug a hole after we drilled it 1 3/4 inches from the edge as instructed. We searched and searched for a third TPC (tapered profile 2x4) because the parts list for the front wall called for two in addition to the one for the back wall. Fortunately, you actually only use one on the front wall so the two that come with the kit are sufficient. Use deck screws on the floor, not the provided nails as they will pop up. In fact, use screws wherever you can for strength. By the way, our roofing screws were missing. Had to go buy them and will submit for reimbursement. The siding grooves on the front do not line up with the other walls. The front wall extends 1/2 inch lower that the others. Despite these issues, we got it done, it looks good and will meet our needs.

Solid shed, easy to build.
Hard to believe this shed came out of a 1' x 4' x 8' package. Only problem was the deliverer wasn't prepared to deliver a 700 lb package due to a lack of communication with the shipper. Once delivered, the shed came together with careful attention to the instructions. It requires looking at what need to be done, so study each step ahead of time before proceeding. Everything needed was supplied, but do an inventory before beginning and organize the materials. Used bricks for the foundation. The shed has been through a very rainy winter that included ice and snow, and it didn't leak at all after I tightened a couple of roof screws early on that had let some drips in, and it is still very sturdy. Requires painting after construction.

Great value, perfect for a discrete garden shed in urban yard
Completed the build in about 1.5 full days work, minimal assist with larger pieces. Instructions were OK, the detailed images were accurate (and much appreciated when the written instructions seemed confusing, at first). Study your next step before proceeding with build. Made it smooth, no backtracking needed for misses (unusual for me and DIY). Hardware: had extra of everything except 1.5” nails- ran out and to hardware store for those. Side panels and roof joists, once all came together, are as sturdy as I’d expect. Zero leaks after two typhoon-like rains we’ve had. Couldn’t be happier- discretely nestles into my fence line garden, love the look, especially with darker colors. Called the manufacturer for detailed specs of foundation requirements- they couldn’t locate my Amazon order and told me nothing on phone that isn’t in the sales’ posting. Not helpful. Detailed instructions for foundation are in the included packet upon delivery, lumber was also included, but I had already purchased my own not knowing. That was disappointing- I only wanted a head start and to get it right, but they wouldn’t release any information to me about spec requirements of foundation. Otherwise, cust serv wasn’t needed.

Points to consider.definitely a three day job even by an experienced carpenter with help,
After unboxing and checking the parts. I found three issues. One box of nails was missing, one piece of wood was way off size and one board was bowed and warped. The board that was bowed and warped was a critical part. Lowe’s was to replace but they sent three items of which 2 out of 3 were incorrect. A technical writer is needed to review the plans for clarity. The screws should be torque style and not Philips head as they are easier to install. The estimated time to assemble is much longer than noted even for experienced carpenters.
