When I started playing in the mid 90s my uncle gave me an early 70s Clyde McCoy wah and I had no idea what I had until I treated it for a newer Wah with a power adapter. This Wah absolutely NAILS the tone of that old wah. Smooth and not harsh in the highs and with a nice, full sweep. It is expensive but you will know where your money went with this one.

I really like the sound of this wah, however, the power jack is misaligned with the case housing (the power jack is soldered to the internal printed circuit board), so you cannot securely insert a power connector, such as the ones supplied with the Voodoo power supplies. If you're running on battery, you should be okay. I encountered this issue with two of these pedals. The first one also developed a bent contact on its input jack, so that I could no longer insert the connector on my guitar cable (I got a replacement from Amazon). Since I like the sound so well, I've emailed Dunlop to see if the issue with the power-jack misalignment has been fixed, and to request a replacement unit directly from them. I'll update this post when (or if) I hear back from them. Update 28-Oct-16: The customer-service representative at Dunlop didn't really seem to believe that there is a problem with the power jack. I'm concerned that if I keep using this wah with external power that the misalignment and resulting stress on the internal solder joints will cause the power jack to fail, so I'm returning the unit. To Dunlop's credit, they offered to send me their ac adapter, but I want to run this from my own power supply. Pity: such simple mechanical-design issues on the part of this well-established company. I'll look elsewhere for my wah sounds.

I bought this as a birthday present for my husband. When he hooked it up and started playing, he loved it. He's a big Jimi Hendrix fan and says that this wah wah pedal is the closest he's come to getting the same sound as on Hendrix recordings. He's very happy with the quality of this pedal.
