Quality
Quality clamps with consistent clamping power. Worth the extra cost over cheaper versions.

Super grip!
Ok, so these are quite pricey compared to others available. BUT, these are the only ones that I have purchased that have done ALL I asked of them and are still in one piece. The grip is SERIOUSLY strong. It was able to 'persuade' things to move in to position that I was less able to do with hands alone. It is also really handy to be able to switch the head so that you can push things apart, or lift them off the ground like a hand held mini jack! Another big plus, that I have yet to find on other brands of this product, is that the clamp head can pivot, meaning that clamping awkward shaped items is MUCH easier. Don't hesitate, if you have come to this product page and are looking for a quality product, look no further. HOWEVER, DO consider buying the larger opening clamps, 12", 18" or even 24" if the work you are going to be doing is not going to be in a confined space. The larger ones are exactly the same quality but will cover you for a wider range of tasks. Unless you are working with restricted spaces, for which these are perfect1

Very sturdy
I had a small pair of Irwin clamps and decided to get a larger pair because they've never let me down. These are all I hoped for and more. Unusually they were larger than I expected, which seems to be at odds with most products these days. When I tighten clamps I expect them to stay tightened and unlike some other cheaper ones I've had in the past these really do.Only negative is that my smaller pair will slide up the bar without releasing them, these have to have the release trigger pulled and if you tighten down hard on your work the release trigger is hard and uncumfortable to pull.I'm still glad I bought them. For clarification, this price is for one only.

A great device but the Irwin model is not so smooth ...
A great device but the Irwin model is not so smooth to adjust as another model I have. The movable trigger section needs to be helped along the bar. I gave it intensive use to overcome its new condition but to no avail. I had bought two and both had the same issue. I oiled the bar a little and that helped. It does the job at the business end but I might buy another brand if I wanted another.

Effective and inexpensive
Bought these when on special, on the basis you can never have too many clamps. Easy to use one-handed. You can do them up really tight but note the release can be a little stiff if you do. 12in is a good size for most jobs and not too big if you are only clamping something small. I like them so much a bought another two.

Swivel man
It's a must have if you need a clamp, but beware that one end is on a swivel all the time. great if your work piece is not square but it can be a pain. Not sure if this is the latest clamp because I thought I was buying the clamp that has an adjustable end, in terms of it's either fixed or loose by means of pushing the clip sideways. This clamp has a permanently loose end, which all things being normal will self center. I seldom do normal and find that the jaws have to be center on to be square. If you try and nip the work because the throat isn't deep enough(never is), the clamp won't grip like you'd hoped. Confused yet? Well built, should last longer than me. I liked it and went and bought a pair of the smaller ones, which are being used more, because they are very handy and do most jobs where as the big one is for er, bigger jobs. Conclusion? yer need the 3 of them :-)

good clamps by irwin, as always
I have lots of the 300mm and 150mm long Irwin squeeze clamps but wanted some longer squeeze clamps for bigger jobs. My big parallel jaw clamps can be a bit awkward to use in a busy rushed glue up. These Irwin clamps have been very helpful for initial clamping of the bigger panels so I can then add the better but more awkward parallel jaw clamps. I will be buying more of these Irwin 600mm clamps, but possibly the heavy duty version as the bars do flex a bit, hence the parallel jaw clamps are better for panels

A lot better than they look
This product has an expectation which it delivered on, the bar is solid metal the handles are plastic but some of the strongest plastic I have come across, the end part can be placed on the other end to push apart things (e.g. bonded wood), the strength of these way exceeds what I thought it could do, the only negative (if you could call it that is that when you have it in pull apart mode it needs to be spaced a bit (about 30cm) so if you need to pull apart 2 things that are close you can't fit it in but saying that these are amazing
