SUPER EASY BREAD BAKING OUTDOORS
OMNIA oven ordered on Tue, arrived Thur, way earlier than expected! Thank you. Got to know of this oven from our German friends using in their camper-van. Ideal for us as we already have a portable gas stove or use on normal home kitchen stove. Other than bread, we made pastry rings (using ready rolled pastry) cheesecake and reheating spring rolls, pies. Ultra light and portable, easy clean - actually keep oiled, so no cleaning. Can’t wait to use with silicone mold to make cheesy garlic bread

It’s an awesome bit of kit
What an awesome bit of kit. Very easy to use. I’ve made bread , cookies , chips , shepherds pie , beef stew and a few other things. All came out as though I’d cooked them in a normal oven. It’s a must get for every camper. Super easy to clean.

Be careful where you put it down.
Just bought a second one of these, after trashing the first. Took the original off the heat, along with the stainless steel base, and thoughtlessly put the whole caboodle on top of a drying mat which melted and welded to the base. Until then things had been going well; baking fresh bread for breakfast in our campervan, which doesn’t have a conventional oven, just two gas rings. Looking forward to the new one lasting a bit longer and experimenting with recipes. Lightweight and compact, a real necessity where space is at a premium.

Worth buying
This thing is brilliant. I bought it as a joke so I can say I have an oven in my van. Turns out it actually works. The shape means you need to adapt some things like make Calzone instead of pizza and break garlic bread in half. But apart from the shape it works just like an oven. Baking time is the same if you adhere to the same temperatures. I found it works better with stoves with a bigger head and needs more pre heating with the smaller ones.

Really, really hard to clean
Hard to off clean baked on chessey bread, guess you have to buy all the extra racks and inserts to get proper use, basic unit rubbish on its own

Best hob top oven ever!
Use it most days to cook in our Motorhome. Our old one is nearly worn out, so we bought a new Omnia. Essential for our adventures.

Fabulous
Brilliant absolutely love it, we are living full time in a camper so found this a godsend, easy to use, easy to clean, (you do need to buy the silicone insert) would not be without it I'm now looking at a second purchase and see if it can be stacked onto of each other to cook more and utilise the gas.

Genug Gerichte findet man dafür ohne Probleme.

The Omnia has performed as expected so far. Have made potato gratin , soup, meatloaf, and a brownie which burned but I expected that for a first try. It is very light and packs nicely into my rv.

This is a great oven for use on a gas stove top camping or at home. If you follow the instructions to grease and flour the pan it doesn't stick. So not thinking of getting the liner, save money, unless I find I want to use it for more than one baking item back to back. The oven is expensive for the material it is made from, which is the only draw back, you are paying for the innovation and it is a great innovation. Mostly used it for baking so far - cinnamon buns, banana bread, etc. and eggs, and it all came out great, moist and browned. I thinking it will work well with any "in oven" cooking. Cooking times are on par with regular oven but don't forget to preheat bottom plate first when instructed. Over all the oven is very useful and great.

I hesitated to buy this portable stovetop oven, thinking that it would be too big for solo cooking. Wrong. My home full-size gas oven (which takes 20 minutes to heat) is too big for one person. But now at home on my stovetop, I can get an oven's worth of heat in the Omnia almost immediately on one low burner. In camp, it works very well with my Trangia alcohol stove. Since the aim is to focus the heat source on the Omnia's chimney, once the base is heated a lower flame can generate more heat in the oven than blasting the base. It's economical and convenient. It heats up in a minute, cools down quickly, and washes up as easily as a saucepan. There are plenty of YouTube videos of people using their Omnias to make large meals - calzone, pizza, lasagna - and also a lot of meals from processed foods and frozen doughs. You can do that, but you can also use it to cook small meals from scratch. Or to reheat food, or keep it warm. Or to bake a single take-and-bake bread roll quickly. It lends itself to cooking creativity. It can fry onions for a stew, or boil liquids. If an oven can do it, even if you wouldn't heat up your regular oven to do it, the Omnia can. Well, almost. I wouldn't bet on succeeding with a souffle. If I don't get good results with a new cooking device, it's likely to sit unused on a shelf and eventually end up in a thrift store. The Omnia has a reputation for burning things, so I also bought the thermostat, silicone insert, and baking ring to ensure that food gets even heat at a suitable temperature. They work well. Although I'd recommend buying the two-pack of silicone inserts, one for sweet and one for savory. The Omnia involves a significant financial outlay with accessories. But like any home cooking device that you use often, it pays for itself quickly compared to the cost of eating out. For those who get good use from toaster ovens, multicookers, and similar kitchen devices, yes, there's quite a bit of overlap in function. My beloved Ninja Foodi pressure cooker/air fryer comes close to doing it all, but my deciding factor is that the Omnia makes itself useful in camp. It's also a very reassuring thing to own if you have a "prepper" mentality. And some camp cooks just need to know that we can bake without electricity halfway up a mountain!
