I got this light up hoop for my boys. I thought it would be fun and different for them. The hoop was pretty easy to attach to the net. You just zip tie it to the rim & net.The button to turn it on and off needs to be pressed hard. It takes a couple tries to press to turn it on and off. Once on, the lights are bright and vibrant.The motion sensor and the battery attach with double stick foam tape. The wire is long. We had no problem with being short. It reaches far enough, at least for our hoop.Overall, I recommend this hoop light. It’s bright, fun, easy to install, and a great price!!!!

I got the hoop lights thinking it would be cool for it to light up on the rare occasion that I manage to get the ball through the hoop. I have discovered that it will only function this way if it is fairly dark, at least after sundown. This is consistent with the messaging, just thought I would confirm that the lights don't do much in the day time. My basketball court is also my roommate's parking spot, so I won't be able to try it out actually at night until the next time she's out after dark. Looking forward to that.UPDATE: Stopped working after a couple of months.

Not for the pro athlete by any means, but makes for some fun driveway ball. The lights are bright enough to see in the shade, but are harder to see in bright light. Batteries last longer than expected, maybe because I just don't make as many shots as I should! Fun gift for the child baller in your family.

This is a super fun accessory for your basketball hoop. Installation is a breeze, though kind of cheap (you just zip-tie the LED strip onto the rim). Sturdy, but doesn't look great if you look closely.The function is great. It will absolutely eat batteries, so make sure you remember to turn it off. The on/off button is a bit goofy, it takes a good bit of pressure to turn it off because of the waterproof housing.The motion sensor for the lights and the battery housing just attach with double-stick foam and a really long cable, so be wary about installing it if you have an adjustable hoop - if you have a wall mounted one you may have trouble finding a place to run the power cord since it's only about 8ft long.For the price, it's an amazing accessory. It looks really cool when playing at night and the motion sensor works great, it triggers every time you make a basket (assuming you had a good place under the rim to install it). The only thing I could say might improve it would be to add a light sensor so it automatically shuts off during the day, but that's just being nitpicky.

first off, this is literally just a fraction of a standard roll of led strip but at double the cost and without rgb entirely so your really not getting your moneys worth. Second of all, this thing is going to be outside in the elements so you would think the time would be made during quality control to check the seals to the control module but they clearly were not as you can see in the pictures. Lastly, I took the extra time to make the install extra clean because I was going to hard wire mine and ditch the battery box but once I turned it on and realized that:1. the power button was flawed and just barely capable of being depressed, and2. the leds were just a single color, light blue/extra cool white with no other features what so ever..I decided against it all together. I don't expect much out of something like this but I do expect better than what I got. Money wasted is money down the drain.

I got this for my son's basketball hoop to put on at my parents house. I really like the idea of it and I think my son will too. My parents neighborhood is fairly dark. Looking forward to trying out soon. Will update once we have had a chance to utilize it!
