Came with broken parts and a missing character... But other then that everything was okay.

Kids loved it. Was a good challenge for first game using easy rules, but it was perfectly timed. Looking forward to playing again!

The Tokaido Deluxe Edition is absolutely stunning. The packaging is beautiful, and the figurines are high-quality and can even be painted to match each character’s artwork. Everything inside feels premium — from the coins, task cards, and character cards to the large, gorgeous game board. It even comes with a CD of wonderful music that perfectly sets the mood. What makes this game special is the experience itself — unlike many other board games where the focus is only on winning, Tokaido is calming and immersive. Even when you lose, you feel like you’ve been on a serene journey, almost in a state of Japanese nirvana. It’s a fantastic choice for multiplayer gatherings and game nights, especially for players who enjoy a more relaxing and artistic style of gameplay. Highly recommend!

I love this game's chill aesthetic, it has very minimal competition between players (only way you can "screw someone over" is by taking a spot on the path deliberately to block them from taking it. This game is really a "choose your own strategy" kind of game and is simple, easy to learn, but can employ a lot of strategy, especially with the expansions included. The art is so clean and nice, and I really love playing it. One thing to note is that the board is MUCH bigger than the non-deluxe version of the game, so make sure you have a big enough table to play this on!

Basic yet fun. The game has nice cardboard components. They warp quite a bit. And also some wooden tokens, cards, cardboard tokens and dice. Each character has a special ability and a special power. Each different. You will draw monsters, roll dice and take actions. Is simple but very entertaining.
