Assembly is a chore. It took me about 3 full hours to fully assemble grill.
This is a very nice grill! However, you need to be fairly proficient with assembly. It only takes a Phillips screwdriver, but there is a lot to assemble. There is one part of the assembly that should have been done early on. That was the towel and utensil holder. Not a big thing, but having to install that after everything else is together was very difficult indeed. It needs to be done before installing the right side burner. Another thing, or 2, was the windbreak for the sear burner. It was not well, or easily found. The other thing, was the ignition button. You have to install a battery in the button for it to work. I scoured the assembly instructions, just to find it in a location that was very difficult to find. The quality of the grill is very nice! Almost all stainless steel. Should not rust away like other cheap ones do within this price range. I bought the blue one, and it really is beautiful. It really pops on my patio. Overall, I hope it works well and lasts more than 3 or 4 years.

The perfect balance of features and value
Every griller has their preferences. So if you like charcoal or a Kamado type, no one can argue with you. I personally like them all, but this grill strikes the best balance of value, variability of cooking styles and features of any grill I've owned. The Clearview is genuinely a great idea and feature, not a gimmick. I'm really nosey when I grill, so being able to take a peek now and then without losing the heat is an amazing feature. The sear burner for some reverse searing action is, again, an amazing feature I use every time I cook steaks. It's a must and it allows me and a thermometer to have perfectly cooked steaks to any specification a guest requests. The side burner is obviously great to warm up some sides. I'd suggest a cast iron griddle plate and then you can bang out amazing breakfasts as well. The light up knobs are indeed useful at night but if you often grill late, pick up a little clip-on light so you can see the meats well when you open the hood. Clean up is quite easy and I like the angled tray that allows you to run all of that into the tray or bucket. The only quibble I had with this grill was assembly and shipment, but that had zero to do with it's function. First, if you have big hands, trying to screw on the sear and side burner portions is a pain... Literally. The steel have sharp edges under there where you have to get your screwdriver. I lost some blood putting this thing together. Second, unfortunately, despite the packaging seemingly being very well done, the lower left front part of my grill face was dented. Again, neither of these things affected in any way the usage and general awesomeness of the grill. I doubt you can find a better bang-for-your-buck grill anywhere. Because I looked long and hard and I couldn't!

Best grill I have owned so far
This is the best grill so far. I have had it for five days, and have used it for three of those five days so far. I even used it wrong and it still performed like a champ! So on the first night, I cooked burgers. I like the Flame Diverters on this grill, as they are very wide and much much better than the ones on the Char Broil Performance Series. There were a few flare ups, but that was expected with 80/20 beef (my bad). Overall, it performs like a dream. My mistake with it was when I went in to go eat, I went to burn off the food, so I turned it up high. I forgot about it, and left it for about 30 minutes. When I finally remembered it, I went back expecting to have shattered glass on the ClearView section. None of that--it was humming along at well over 700 degrees (the top measurement on the thermometer). No issues, other than the fact that my grill is no longer stainless steel inside. I am tempted to buy another Grease Tray for the future, as I know that that will be the first thing to rust out, and sooner than later. It is not very strong, but they do have replacement parts on the Monument Grills website. Overall, I give this grill a 10 out of 10. I also recommend getting the sear burner. Yes, it is a singular focus--but WHAT A FOCUS it is.

Difficult to build, but works very well when completed
Well, first off, if Amazon drops the *enormously* heavy box off in front of your house, you’re going to have to completely deconstruct the packaging so that you can actually get the grill components into your yard or home. Note: there are several packages inside of the fire box, so cut the straps and open this up before you attempt to move it. The difficult part of the build is getting the propane hoses into place, particularly on the left side, where it has to bend at a completely unnatural angle to accommodate the burner and connect to the knob (my knob wound up crooked after several tries, but I finally got it to be somewhat straight in the end). Be very, very careful with the screws because if you lose one - as I did, when it fell between the boards on my deck - you’ll have to go to a hardware store and attempt to find a replacement. Put a towel or tarp around your work area so that fallen screws don’t go missing. When I finally finished the construction of the grill, I did notice that the two side burners were slightly canted downwards, which is somewhat unattractive. I’ve gone through the instructions and they’re built exactly as the instructions require. It’s just the way it is (although not on their photographs) - same for a friend who bought this same model. My blue model is pretty attractive, and the burners light up beautifully (some people don’t seem to understand that you must hold the ignition button while turning the knobs - the printed language on the front of the grill does *not* make this clear). And, boy, does it heat up quickly. A plus, in my mind. Do NOT touch the glass window for any reason when the grill is on and the cover is closed, because it’s conducting all of that heat. You *will* be burned. I accidentally did this and wound up putting my hand in an ice bath to prevent blistering. As for grilling, everything cooks evenly and well - and the grates are fairly easy to clean if you use top heat with the grill closed to turn any bits of food to ash. Easy to scrub with a wire brush after it’s cooled down. The build quality seems to be equal to many top brands, and I very much like the matte finish of the blue panels. One thing I wish it had is a propane tank weight, as the Weber does (maybe that’s patented?), so that you know how much propane is left in the tank. Anyway, the grill works very well and looks great. The price is far below Weber pricing for a similar model, so if I wind up not liking it in a couple of years, I can go with something else.

After 4 months of contemplation, I boutght the right grill!
Posted March 21, 2025 While I have yet to use it for cooking, I have assembled it, and offer these comments. I will revise after I have cooked several "test" items, including burgers, steak, chicken, etc. Customer service: I was puzzled (couldn't find the wheels), and called their help line. While I was on hold I found them and hung up on the call. Ten minutes later I got a call from them asking how they could help. Friggin' awesome! Very polite young lady wished me well and went on to the next call. But that commitment to customer support and their product is the mark of a heck of a good company. Packaging 1) Packaging is awesome. It would take a tank to damage the contents. Be forewarned - the boxes a heavy and large. 2) Opening the packaging yielded well protected items, tightly packed and properly buffered with foam. Excellent! Assembly: 1) It was a bear getting the stuff out - tightly packed is right!! 2) get it all out - took me a while to find the wheels and bolts. Cleverly hidden in one of the boxes yet to be opened. 3) The fasteners are in a clearly labeled container, with each compartment easily identified and complete. I cannot tell you how important that is. 4) Instructions are clear, linking to the fasteners compartments. I hate to say it, but it was a piece of cake (still took 3 hours). 5) You will need a GOOD phillips screw driver to prevent it from jumping out of the fastener. Really - this is important. You have to tighten these fasteners tight! Grill Quality in manufacture (from assembly only) 1) All of the panels and parts went together perfectly - no 'hammer' adjustment required. That is really nice. 2) Lots of nifty features: a) Lids have a spring loaded hinge which makes taking them off sweet. Nice touch. b) Doors are also retained with a spring loaded hinge pin. Again, nice. c) the burners are prefit, and nest nicely - not libel to move out of location. d) Wire runs were very good and safe. I put wire ties to dress the out of the way. 3) Much to my amazement, when I put the batteries in, everything fired up dandy. How nice. More to follow, but at this point, I believe that I made and excellent decision. Of course, the cooking is the final element, but it is a little early up here (too cold). I got the griddle - it arrived a day later and was leaning against the wall. Great griddle!

Good bang for your buck
The grill came very well packaged with no damage. Easy enough to assemble, took about an hr or so. Everything looks nice and solid considering the price point. Overall very pleased with it.

FIRE HAZARD! DO NOT BUY!
Do not buy this grill unless you want to risk the lives of everyone in your house! I bought this grill May 2022 and this is what happened: I got home from running some errands. Dinner was running late, but I was doing ribs on the grill with a nice salad. I turned my grill on and went inside to season the ribs. I went back out on my deck, where the grill is, and turned the burners down from medium to between the medium and low setting. They were cooking great. I checked on them two more times and they smelt amazing and were slowly cooking. I made the salad and some broccoli. I went out to flip them. As they had been on for about 11 minutes at that time. I did notice that the temperature had gone from 250* to about 325* but I didn’t really think anything about it. I was walking out to remove them from the grill. They had been cooking on that side for about 5 minutes. But with the temperature increase I figured they would be close to done. As I walked to the grill it exploded! Flames everywhere! Even the glass shattered! I quickly got my furbabies in the house and shut everything off and opened the top of the grill. The flames were intense. So much so that I thought the propane tank was going to explode. It didn’t, thank GAWD! After it settled down the temperature gauge is stuck on 700*! In a matter of minutes it was crazy! The meat was charcoal! I honestly don’t know what happened. I’m incredibly lucky that I wasn’t closer to it or opening it at the time of the explosion. I suffered glass chard cuts on my arms and face. I had cleaned and degreased it prior to this season, as I do every year. It was not greasy and I had checked the line and connection for leaks. I had to give a one star. Because negative 10 was not an option! I have emailed the manufacturer and have not gotten a reply! I got lucky, you may not. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GRILL FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR FAMILY!
