Oxford First Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling Dictionary

This book is in sections on the 3 key elements with a dictionary at the back. Exercises are clearly laid out and in my experience are good learning methods. I bought for a 7 year old - I've used only a couple of activities - others will be introduced when the child gets to that aspect.

Very useful to be able to help my little boy (and ensure I'm using the same terminology as school).

maybe a bit pedestrian? a bit dull? straight forward, informative, competent....but not fun....

Looks well set out. Easy to read, good bold print. Hoping to get my 1:1 to look a couple of words up to help him with their spelling and cvc words.

Had bought for my 8 year old but think more suitable for my 5 year old though handy reference book which is well laid out for child and parent. Any help is welcome.
