Product Description What is it? P90X is a comprehensive in-home fitness and nutrition programme which can help burn fat and reshape your body in just 90 days. In fact, if P90X doesn’t get you absolutely ripped in 90 days, you’ll get your money back (less p&p). Twelve different workouts target every area of your body, incorporating moves used by elite athletes, gymnasts, weightlifters, and martial artists. In addition to doing cardio, strength training, and stretching, you’ll develop extreme overall fitness with bodyweight exercises like pull-ups and push-ups, as well as plyometrics (jump training), yoga, and kenpo. Your personal trainer Tony Horton demonstrates each move, showing a modified version for those just getting started. Most important, he’ll keep you engaged, motivated, and even amused every step of the way. More than 3.6 million people, including numerous professional athletes and celebrities, have bought and used P90X to get in the best shape of their lives. P90X is the #1-selling extreme home fitness programme in the world, with 1.2 million videos posted to YouTube by satisfied customers and 750,000 Facebook fans. Why is it effective? The secret behind the P90X system is an advanced training technique called Muscle Confusion, which accelerates the results process by constantly introducing new moves and routines, so your body keeps adapting and changing throughout the 90 days. This variety challenges your muscles and keeps them from getting accustomed to the workouts over time, so you don’t plateau. And because you’re working different muscles in different ways with each workout, P90X makes it possible for you to Bring It! hard every day, without the pain or injury that often comes from repetitive motion. What makes P90X unique? Most in-home workout programmes offer only one kind of fitness training. But the 12 P90X DVDs give you intense cross-training with 5 hard-core resistance routines, 3 fat-scorching cardio routines, and 2 ab-ripping routines, as well as extreme yoga and advanced flexibility. You work all your muscles from every possible angle, using many different techniques. Whether you want to lean out, bulk up, or get ripped, there are endless ways to mix and match the routines to keep you motivated for the full 90 days and beyond. The other thing that makes P90X unique is Tony Horton himself. Not only is he an experienced trainer who’s devised the most efficient ways to get your body into peak shape, he’s incredibly engaging and inspiring, constantly encouraging you to “do your best and forget the rest.” He’s also been known to crack the odd—and we do mean odd—joke from time to time. Imagine a cross between an upbeat motivator and a standup comic, and you’re pretty close. Equipment needs All you need to do P90X is a couple ofdumbbells or resistance bands, a place to do pull-ups, and about an hour a day. Product Description Tired of ineffective workouts that sound great but produce less-than-optimal results? Turn to the P90X Extreme Home Fitness system, a bundle of 12 sweat-inducing, muscle-pumping workouts designed to transform your body from regular to ripped in just 90 days. Hosted by personal trainer Tony Horton, the series of DVDs will help you get lean, bulk up, or grow stronger, with an endless variety of mix-and-match routines to keep you motivated. The secret behind the P90X system is an advanced training technique called "muscle confusion," which accelerates the fitness process by constantly introducing new moves and routines so that your body never plateaus and you never get bored. The more you confuse the muscle, the harder your body has to work to keep up. And the more variety you put into your workout, the better and faster your results will be. By breaking old routines and opening new doors, secondary and tertiary muscles are constantly being activated and developed. The DVD Workouts Each of the 12 highly diverse and intense DVD workouts focuses on either a specific set of muscle groups or a unique training technique. Workout One: Chest & Back. This superset chest-and-back-blasting workout emphasises two classic upper-body exercises--push-ups and pull-ups--to build strength and develop shape. The combination of these two push and pull movements will help you burn loads of calories while simultaneously attacking, strengthening, and developing multiple muscle groups. Workout Two: Plyometrics. Get ready to go airborne. Offering more 30 explosive jumping moves, this intense cardio routine will keep you in the air most of the time. Plyometrics, also known as jump training, has been proven to dramatically improve athletic performance. If your sport involves a ring, rink, field, court, or track, this training will give you the edge. Just be prepared to "bring it" for a full hour when you leap into this workout, because there is no letting up. Workout Three: Shoulders & Arms. Nothing rounds out the perfect physique like a pair of well-defined arms and shoulders, and with its potent combination of pressing, curling, and fly movements, this routine will leave you feeling stronger and looking sexier. Whether you want to build muscle mass or just slim and tighten what you've already got, these targeted shoulder and arm exercises will give you the results you want. Workout Four: Yoga X. Yoga is a vital part of any fitness regimen, and is an absolute must for an extreme programme like P90X. This routine combines strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, and breath work to enhance your physique and calm your mind. Yoga X will leave you feeling energised, invigorated, and maybe even a little enlightened. Workout Five: Legs & Back. Get ready to squat, lunge, and pull for a total-body workout like no other. While the main focus of this workout lies in strengthening and developing the leg muscles (quads, hamstrings, glutes, and calves), there are also a handful of great pull-up exercises to give your legs a quick breather while you work the upper body. Workout Six: Kenpo X. Kenpo X was created to give P90X users a high-intensity cardiovascular workout packed with lots of punching and kicking combinations to improve balance, endurance, flexibility, and coordination. During this workout you'll learn some of the most effective ways to defend yourself, while at the same time getting your body in peak condition. Workout Seven: X Stretch. Stretching is the one thing that will help you achieve a higher level of athleticism over a longer period of time. The X Stretch routine is an integral part of the programme, as it helps prevent injuries and avoid plateaus. The extensive full-body stretches that make up this routine use disciplines from Kenpo karate, hatha yoga, and various sports to ensure that your body is fully prepared to meet all P90X challenges head-on. Workout Eight: Core Synergistics. Each and every exercise in the Core Synergistics workout recruits multiple muscle groups to build and support the core (lumbar spine and trunk muscles), while at the same time conditioning your body from head to toe. Loaded with a variety of fun, unique, and challenging exercises, this routine will get you moving in all directions to maximise your P90X results. Workout Nine: Chest, Shoulders, & Triceps. Packed with an array of moves that target both large and small muscles, this workout will do wonders for your upper body. In just one full sequence you'll get a healthy dose of presses, flys, and extensions to push you to the brink. The results will be a stronger, leaner, and highly defined upper torso that will leave you looking awesome, with or without a shirt. Workout 10: Back & Biceps. With a host of curls and pull-ups, this routine will make it fun to flex those powerful biceps. But don't worry, ladies--by using lighter weight, you can focus on toning and tightening these showcase arm muscles without adding the size that most guys covet. Additionally, this workout also provides some great back definition that everyone can appreciate. Regardless of your goals, you will achieve them in dramatic fashion if you dig in and max out your reps. Workout 11: Cardio X. This low-impact cardio routine can be used in a variety of ways to meet your P90X goals. Use it in addition to your standard P90X workload when you want to burn some extra calories, or as a substitute if your body needs a break from the programme's high-impact workouts. Whatever your reason for using Cardio X, you'll find it a fun, full-throttle, fat-burning workout that will leave you feeling lean and mean. Workout 12: Ab Ripper X. The combination and sequence of movements in this unique workout taps into not only abdominal strength, but true core strength as well. Master these 11 highly effective exercises and you will achieve vital abdominal muscle strength to benefit your overall health and physical performance. You'll also develop that highly coveted six-pack as you take Ab Ripper X to full throttle. It's extreme work that's better than any machine in any club. P90X Fitness Guide This is your road map and your plan of attack for using P90X. Learn guidelines for getting started and essential tips for how to make the most of the programme. The fitness guide provides you tips to reduce your chance of injury; a fit test; recommended supplements and equipment; detailed instructions for stretching, warming up, and performing exercises; and guidelines to help you select which P90X phase to complete, whether Classic, Doubles, or Lean. The Nutrition Plan Following the P90X nutrition plan is just as vital to your overall success as any of the extreme workouts in this programme. Specifically designed to work in tandem with the P90X workout routines, this three-phase eating plan recommends the perfect combination of foods to satisfy your body's energy needs every step of the way. P90X is not about quick fixes or miracle diets. It's about selecting the healthy foods that you want to eat, and determining the portion amounts that will provide your body with the right amount of fuel to excel during exercise. The P90X nutrition plan offers three phases. Phase 1 is the Fat Shredder, a high-protein-based diet designed to help you strengthen your muscles while simultaneously and rapidly shedding fat from your body. Phase 2 is the Energy Booster, a balanced mix of carbohydrates and proteins with a lower amount of fat to achieve additional energy for performance. And Phase 3 is the Endurance Maximiser, an athletic diet of complex carbohydrates, lean proteins, and lower fat, with the emphasis on more carbohydrates. You'll need this combination of foods as fuel to get the most out of your final few weeks and truly be in the best shape of your life. Tools to Keep You Motivated P90X Calendar to set your workout goals, track your progress, and stay motivated. Free Online Support Tools for access to fitness experts, peer support, and motivation. What's in the Box? 12 DVD workouts, nutrition plan, fitness guide How to Bring It DVD, a calendar to track your progress Review: Beachbody transformation - In february 2010 I weighed 20 stone. I decided enough was enough and ordered Insanity, a product from Beachbody a bit like p90x only more focused on cardio, bodyweight exercises and interval training. I found Insanity very challenging indeed. The workouts are deadly and it was 4 months before I could even attempt one of the Max Insanity workouts and 8 months before I could hit one of the routines with full intensity and survive. let me say again, insanity is hard as hell! But I lost 3 and 1/2 stone and turned my fitness right around. I went from being a guy who used to eat all the crap of the day and who used to joke about going to the gym and was referred to as 'the athelete' in work in cruel jest to a guy who was accepted by the gym-goers as 'one of there own' even though I never set foot in the gym! People still, 10 months later, comment on how much weight I lost. But this is a P90x review... 10 months ago I was seriously overweight and unfit. I could not have handled a P90x workout 10 months ago. P90x is the real deal as far as getting ripped and pumped is concerned. It has a much more muscular/ripping/bulking out aspect to it than insanity, (however you will NOT turn into a stumpy excessively chunked body builder on this). I was very close to buying a budget copy of P90x of any retailer who could give me it for less than the asking price of £106. However I took the hit and bought it off desertcart and got a genuine copy. I am very glad I did. When I bought insanity I got it for around £45 from some random retailer. The manuals were not complete and were full of typos, and most importantly all the bonus disks were faulty and would not play properly. The genuine copy you get from here is worth EVERY PENNY. it will work, it has all the content and if its faulty you can return it!! When you consider your grocery shop for a week could hit £100, and you put £70 of fuel in your car this week, it is not much to ask for £100 for P90x which (if you do as it says) will turn your life around! It includes all the workouts, online motivation and diet plans that you need to succeed. Compared to insanity, the diet plan is better. it contains much more info and several options to suit you, including a 'portion plan option' for people like me who just wanna grab some food and go - a cup of veg, a half cup of chicken, couple ounces of cheese etc or a more complex 'meal plan' approach for folks who like to plan everything and eat exactly what the plan says. The workouts are intense and challenging. P90x is designed around getting maximum results using supplements. you can do P90x without supplements, but you will suffer more and get slightly less results. I did not use the P90x supplements as you cant get them in the UK yet. I used Berocca for vitamin and S.I.S. REGO for post-workout recovery. I also used For Goodness Shakes for post-workout. These are not essential but do help to cut down on the pain and recovery time for your muscles. I didnt use pure protein supplements as I have a body type that gains muscle well naturally and I have never needed additional protein. You know your own body, go with what you know. The amazing thing about P90x is IF YOU DO WHAT IS SAYS you will get absolutely amazing results. you will get ripped in 90 days. This will not happen for everybody. Mainly because many people will look at the advised diet and go, 'no, I know better'. Maybe you do... all I can say is if you stick to 90% of the advised meals, 90% of the time you will progress rapidly. P90x achieves half its results by bulking up your body, and half its results by ripping the fat off you. if you dont follow a good diet you will get fitter and stronger, but noone will know coz you'll still be fat!! Finally I would say consider what your immediate goals are before choosing this over Insanity. Insanity will get you 'fitter' (cardiovascularly,endurance-wise and I think you will lose more weight on Insanity. P90x will turn you into a machine, giving you muscle growth and ripping you right down to the pure, sexy muscle. For a fat guy like me (20 stone) Insanity, then P90x was the way to go. Good luck and stick with it. Review: X - Makes you hot!! - Get ready, to get in shape!! I would say i'm fit and healthy, running around 9-10 miles 3 times a week and weight traing 3-4 times a week!! So when i saw P90-X i thought it's just another over-hyped american fitness money making scam. But! after reading reviews and watching peoples real life changes on Youtube through the P90-X programe, i decided to take the plunge and buy it. It does get a bit boring doing the same exercise routine, day in, day out and i liked the idea of muscle confussion which Tony uses in the P90-X programe. I've just completed the first week and this is the real deal! I am able to keep up with most of the exercises, but not easily as i'm having to push my body in so many different ways with so many different moves which include, pull-ups, push-ups, weights or bands, jumps, squats, punches, kicks, yoga, insane ab routines etc, etc. It's all very well thought out and by the end of each DVD you realy feel it. I evan feel guilty as i had to miss the last 10 mins of the Plyometrics DVD one night! I'm addicted to this, as it's not boring and you feel great afterwrds. If your level of fitness is not that great, don't be put off by the level of intensity as if you just do what you can, you will slowly build up to keeping up with Tony and soon notice the difference to your body. The only problem i found was that the introduction DVD would not work, as it was still in US configuration! The two books that come with it are helpful, one with diet tips, recipes etc and the other with the exercise routines and week by week exercise plan. You will need some basic equipment in order to do some of the exercises and you can find out what you need an the beachbody website. This is one of the best buys i've made in a long time and you should buy it to!!

P90X DVD set
This is not a beginners fitness programme. Ideally you need a good level of fitness to start or it will be tough. It is a great product. 13 DVD's with a wide variety of exercises. (This DVD set did not include the full P90X instruction book, so you need to know a bit about fitness, diet etc.) Each DVD demonstrates workouts of about 1-hour and all advise caution to work to your own level...so it need not be extreme....you don't have to become a body builder! From a good fitness base after only 4 weeks I am fitter, a few pounds lighter (without trying) and although I could feel when I had done a full programme (to my 60's level) I have had no adverse effects. If you are dedicated to wanting to get fit, approach P90X carefully to start and are happy to follow a DVD via TV or laptop....I rate this product highly recommendable.

The Best Training Program Money can buy! p90x is not only for shedding fat but also for Strength training. All you would need is a Yoga Mat - Weights ( 2.5 lbs to 50 lbs) this totally depends on you, you can even buy lesser weights. A Good Resistance Band - You can get one for 600rs medium resistance one from any local sports shop, Yoga Ma, pushp bar and Pull Up Bar - Please buy the Wallmounted one and not the door fit one those are pathetic. You can buy the iso wall mounted pull up bar, that product is amazing, using it now. Also these are very rigid workouts so please also get protein and a good post workout supp to avoid the soreness. Will buy the Body Beast once I am done with 2 90 days cycle of p90x.

I began this program weighing in at 247 lbs. Per the book, i also measured body fat percentage, which was 35%! Yikes! I have tried a few video oriented programs in the past, even bought/sold a bowflex in the past 5 years. The problem with all of them was repetition. I cannot stand repetition. It kills my motivation to do just about anything. With P90x, there is enough variety that you dont get that effect at all. It also helps that some days, your doing cardio, some days resistance. I'm in the 3rd and final phase currently and am down to 225 lbs, but the real change that should be noticed is me being down to 25% body fat. For practical purposes if your overweight, focus on the body fat changes, and less on the total weight loss. If i did the P90x lean, cardio-focused routine (you can do classic, doubles, or lean), I'd probably be down to 210 lbs right now. I'm 'bringing it' using the classic routine which will, if you want to build muscle, pack on noticeable, considerable muscle. Some of the routines i like more than others (not a fan of yoga, love kempo, hate plyometrics only because its so tough). Again, if you consider where i started and where i am, its amazing. The program takes the guesswork out of what to eat, but to be honest, i didnt follow it at all, and am still losing weight. Perhaps if i was strict about the diet, i'd be better off, but i have a 3 year old and a 18 month old and another on the way, so my time is not exactly unlimited needless to say. Yes, you can do this program with a house full of pregnant wife and little kids. The key is to either do the workouts early in the morning or after they go to bed. Speaking of the actual videos, Tony does a decent job of keeping form a priority in all of the routines. He does so in a motivating, and light hearted way. sometimes he gets intense which is appreciated, i find myself being ok with the overall presentation. throughout each routine he shows you how to modify, which is doing a move in a way to make it easier for you if you are starting out and maybe out of shape. On that note, there is a pre fitness test you have to take before you start out and it is recommended that you meet the minimum goals before starting. you can go on the beachbody website and download the pre-test. Some of them i did, some i did not. To get the most out of the program, and i know this now 2.5 months into the program, you really should be in basic shape at the start. its definitely not for everyone. i had to modify a good bit on the cardio routines the first month, but then i didnt have to as i got in good enough cardio shape. The resistnace routines are much easier to modify, just lighten the weights your using, or use bands instead of the pull up bar. Speaking of ancillary items needed, power bands are used in all the resistance routines, get them if you feel you might need them, and get multiple bands of different strengths. Amazon has EVERYTHING you'll need. i purchased the pull up bar, yoga blocks, heart rate monitor with chest band (polar), cap adjustable 40 lb dumbell sets (2), perfect push up bars, yoga mat. Supplement wise, i use the gnc mega man extreme athlete multipacks, and the gnc wheybolic 60 for recovery drink. It really makes a difference after a workout, and the creatine in the mega man vitamins help hydrate muscles, cutting down on sore time. In short, there is some considerable bank to be invested...in yourself. if you think of it that way, it softens the blow a bit. I'm in a much better place than i have been for the past five years. My boys are getting older by the day, and did not want to be the dad that is glued to the couch watching my full of energy boys from afar. picking up my 18 month old is almost effortless now, such a joy. i do have some regrets so far. i wish i kept that bowlfex. i can easily see that piece of equipment being a great vehicle for the resistence routines. i wish they had this when i was in highschool. i regret not following the nutritional guide closer. Get plenty of sleep, and drink LOTS of water, EVERYDAY. i did not adhere to those aspects as well as i could have. The good news is once you've invested in the materials, you'll always have them, and i definitely will keep going after the first circuit is complete. The olny recurring costs being the supplements and protein, which you can go cheaper definitely.

(ohne Musik, ohne Kommentar).
