Given as a gift to a son-in-law. He loves it!

Out of tge box it had to be cleaned because it was very greasy. After cleaning it looked cute and has a bit of a heavy feel. I did a cutting test and it struggled ti cut paper. A closer look showed it is a single bevel blade and sharpening was sloppy. So, I resharpened it to a double bevel at 15° like the rest of my kitchen damascus knives. Now it cuts paper cleanly and made quick work of my chicken dinner. For a utility knife sharpened correctly it's a keeper.

This is the 3rd knife that I have bought. The 1st, I gave to a close friend to use as an EDC. The 2nd my wife uses in the Kitchen daily, while the 3rd I carry in my hiking bag for campfire use. We have found this knife to be very versatile for many kitchen chopping chores, as it is small and can be easily used on many vegetables and to work on various meats and fish. It does a good job of slicing as well and maintains its edge with very little need for any constant sharpening. As for basic camping chores, it excels in precision work, but you will need to exchange it for a bigger camping knife for some of the heavier camping chores that require the heft of a much bigger and broader blade. I am also a huge fan of the ring end, which allows one to have a more secure grip. My only complaint would be to show a plastic Kydex camping sheath option when purchasing the blade for camping purposes. Overall, this is a solid 5-star blade, as long as one utilizes it correctly.

After being referred to this brand by a colleague and loving both of the chef knives that I bought, I decided to try this smaller version and I really love it! First, I love how very simple, straightforward and utilitarian it is. The size is super convenient and can be used for anything, the blade is razor sharp and can cut through fish and chicken bones as easily as it cuts through meat and vegetables and the blunt nose of the blade makes it easy to do precision work. The classic wood handle is thick so you can apply more power to it to cut thicker vegetables, joints, maybe branches while camping. The finger hole makes for added grip and easy retrieval from the sheath, which is also convenient and makes it portable for fishing, camping, etc. Great little knive for everything!

Very nice, looking knife upon taking it out out of the box, but if you look closely, you can see imperfections in the blade and chipping in the blade. Not only that, but it boasts that it is sharp out of the box. Well, I hate to tell you this that’s not exactly true! Had trouble cutting through the simplest Amazon mailer And upon attempts tonight it was barely able to stand up to a pork steak! Like I said nice looking knife, but honestly, I shouldn’t be surprised about the results for the price!

This was the most expensive knife that I ever purchased and I am amazed with this knife. It’s not only strong built but it also remains sharp for very long time. The grip is very supportive and comfortable. It also comes with leather case to protect the knife blade and also makes it easy to carry.
