Note: Amazon groups reviews for multiple very different products under the same page. This review is for the X670E-PRO WiFi board. This is a great performer with all the bells and whistles you'll need. I am using it with Fedora Linux 40, kernel 6.10. I am happy to report that everything works as expected including suspend, RGB lighting controller, and CPU temperature sensors. The aesthetic is nice for my all-white build. The big plastic cover for the i/o panel is white, the heatsinks are silver, and the pcb is black. Nothing looks out of place. I'm using a Crucial T705 gen 5 SSD as a boot drive in the top slot. It has three other m.2 slots, which only support pcie gen 4. They all have heatsinks, and there are thermal pads included. With four total slots you'll probably be covered. It has some nice bonus features. There's a little button for releasing the graphics card from the slot without having to try and reach a little tab. There is a power button on the board in case you want to test it before wiring up the case. I find the BIOS nice to use and it pretty easy to make all the adjustments I want: RAM timing, CPU voltage, boot configuration, and fan curve. Newer AMD CPUs can almost always get a significant efficiency and performance improvement by dropping the voltage, which is pretty easy to do with this board. There's not much else to say about a motherboard. It works and it's reliable. I think this one is a good choice.

I was going to give this review two stars out of pity, but I just could not do it. I ordered one of these motherboards without noticing it was refurbished. It was the ASUS Prime. Too bad it looked decent but actually sucked. It had problems from the very start, but I assumed it was my fault, maybe from mounting the CPU cooler unevenly or something similar. The first problem was the boot process. It took far too long. The DRAM yellow light would stay on for ages before finally moving to the CPU light, where it would linger again. Then it would go back to yellow, then to red, and finally to white. This happened every single time I started my new computer. I could not play the games I bought this for without constant crashing, BSODs, RAM and CPU errors, and general instability. I tried everything, including multiple clean installations of Windows 11 and running optimization programs. Nothing fixed it this problem. Not even skipping memory training helped. Eventually, after cleaning my computer and reapplying thermal paste to the CPU cooler a month ago, three of the RAM ports stopped working entirely. No matter what I tried, only the second slot would work. At that point, I had to face the fact that the motherboard was broken. Unfortunately, it was well past the return window on Amazon. I regretted not buying directly from ASUS, and I am still angry about it. It lasted just long enough to put me outside any chance of a refund or replacement. I eventually bought a new motherboard, reinstalled the operating system from scratch, and upgraded to a new CPU cooler. It turned out the CPU and RAM were fine, at least as stable as EXPO allows. I no longer bother trying to run my RAM at the advertised speeds with EXPO since those require unstable overclocking. I also wish I had known earlier how unreliable EXPO can be. Long story short, do not waste your money on these refurbished motherboards unless you are ready to return it immediately if it turns out to be as bad as the one I received.

I want to start off with I had to return 2 boards from buying from Amazon used like new. I would have kept the boards but they kept coming in with bent CPU pins. For Amazon I would give them 0 stars if I could, but this is a review for the product. The actual product has all the features you would need. I threw in 6400 cl30 ram and it overocked with ease. The value is there if you can get it under 200, and I would recommend anyone it at that price. It's a great white/silver board that would look fantastic in any contrast or all white builds. As far as all the reviews talking about boot time, I truelly don't understand what there doing wrong. I have had zero set up or boot time issues. It boots in a perfectly reasonable time for me... Overall this is a great board, but Amazon needs to check the boards they sell better.

Pros: -Solid Board with nice layout for me , quality components , seems heavy duty and solid . -Great looking board for White/Silver/Black color scheme (my preference) NZXT H7 Flow. -Great Onboard sound chip ( works amazingly well for gaming) -Priced reasonably for an AM5 board in comparison to what you get for your money . Cons: -Comes with an outdated bios version (not a deal breaker but time is $Money) -Slow boot times into bios ( maybe an AM5 issue) first time is ridiculous thought I had bad components -Will not boot in EXPO or with any overclock of memory , should be running at 6000 no deal@4800 . Working fine but on occasion it will revert back to slow boot , again not the end of the world but annoying if your pressed for time . Really annoying that it will not boot in EXPO with QVL memory installed . Tried 2 sticks , 1 stick , 4 sticks no go with bios version 2613 (latest version at 16JUN2024) Less the bios issues a really nice , solid board at a great price in comparison . IF your reading this like I did and saying this guy probably does not know how to build I have been building rigs since 1999(first build) with a Slot A Athlon 600 overclocked to 1 gig using a gold finger OC device. Be forewarned the bios of this board has issues , first plan on updating the bios right off the bat and move on from there . Plan on spending some time to get this thing tuned and know you might not be able to run your memory in Expo . Got this mobo a month ago (Nov'23 as of this writing.) First thing I did was update the BIOS thru the USB BIOS FlashBack method. It's pretty easy to do. If you need help, ASUS put out a video on Youtube that's only 2 minutes long .. pretty straight forward & to the point. Only thing to keep in mind with this motherboard is the boot time is rather long (about 45 seconds for mine) due to Memory Training. Since I'm new to this motherboard, I left it as is. Might tinker with it in the BIOS later on. I paired this mobo with the 7800X3D, RTX 4070, 32GB CL30 DDR5, couple of PCIE Gen 4 SSDs and a few other hard drives. When gaming, all settings are maxed out in 4K. DLSS + Frame Generation + HDR is amazingly gorgeous. Ray Tracing is turned off though. In the month since I built this system, I streamed a ton on Youtube and Twitch. I also captured lots of footage with Nvidia's Shadowplay and did quite a bit of editing with the free version of Davinci's Resolve. It's been rock solid so far! My previous setup was the legendary 4790K paired with the 1660 Super, 16GB DDR3 on the Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 5 mobo (Yeah I know, major upgrade for me lol.) If any problems do come up, I'll be sure to update this post but so far I'm very happy with this build. UPDATE: 08/22/24 Solid performance with no issues whatsoever

I had reservations about buying this from the reviews I had read with memory compatibility and the like. I went for it used $130 from Amazon and it's been working great for me ever since. I paired it with ddr5 Expo memory the very first boot took 30 seconds ever since then running fine at advertised speed. I use this computer mainly for gaming and Photoshop sometimes I ran stress tests just to make sure and make me feel comfortable about the motherboard and other reviews. It's been well over a month paired with r7 x3d CPU and I've even had a 10gbe nic plugged in and a sound card. Along with the 3090 FTW and playing cyberpunk and anno 1800 and F1 titles going back to 2012 as well as emulating PS3 and this thing just doesn't pick up at all and works great I got a heck of a deal

Have this board since November 2023, while it looks great and has plenty of options they are almost nerfed. Pros: Looks great Lots of options Decent RBG if you care for that Cons: Will only run RAM in configs of 1, 2 or 4 sticks. If you try 2x2 stick like I did it wont run it. Can confirm it from customer support. I have 2x32 G.Skill sticks that work great but wanted to add extra to so I bought the same sticks and the PC wont boot. Wasted half a day on it. LONG BOOT TIMES. I have a Samsung 990PRO, it takes about 45-50 seconds to get into windows. Not sure what the issue is but most likely seems to be the "Memory Training" on ASUS boards. Not a fan, I used to be able to boot up in about 5-10 seconds on my old board. The 2 cons for me are kind of a big deal and only found out once I read reviews and contacts ASUS. I may want to replace it to be honest. I recommend trying Gigabyte, MSI or even AsRock.
