Victorinox Swiss Army Knife Large Scissors Spring New

I bought this for a relative as he had lost the spring that was fitted to his 91 mm knife. Several years ago I had a spring break on a similar knife to his that I’ve had for decades and I remembered how inconvenient it was as it was often used. The spring is quite a firm fit and pliers were used to aid assembly. Now the knife is back to one hundred per cent and the spring is still firmly attached and works as well as the original one after several weeks of use. We are very pleased with the results.

Great spring, direct replacement for the snapped one in my knife and fitted perfectly without issue.

Large fits Swiss climber model Quite fiddly to get it to fit I notice one review say he used WD 40. I had the spring in the larger side hole but using players I could not get it in so filed the edge of spring a wee bit and it popped in now working fine.

Bought to replace a broken scissor spring on my kife. Quick and easy to replace. Does the job.

Made scissors work like new again. It was a bit awkward getting it into the knife but with some WD40 and a few gentle taps from a hammer it went straight in. Recommended.

I ordered the wrong sized part, my fault. I returned the wrong part and ordered the correct one. Both arrived as stated and I've received a refund for the wrong part. I'm not a metallurgist, but I'm 100% sure that this is an authentic part; it has exactly the same properties of the spring in the knife's pliers (See attached photo). It was fairly easy to attach; I firstly aligned it using my fingers and then used needle nose pliers to press it into place. Also, I note comments suggesting that this might be considered overpriced for such a small part. But whether it is a few millimetres long or a meter long it is a specifically engineered piece of metal, therefore at a few quid it is very reasonably priced IMO.

Mein uralt Schweizer Messer hatte schon lange eine gebrochene Scherenfeder. Irgendwann reifte die Idee hier nach einem Ersatz zu suchen. Und ich bin fündig geworden. Es passt !
