I have tried other brands, and have found that O'Neill swim shirts are superior in quality. They are constructed out of panels (cut on the bias) that hug the body, yet provide maximum movement, especially due to the under arm gusset. I lap swim several x a week, and this brand stays in place without riding up or any need to keep tugging down. The stitching on the flat locked seams is not itchy and is secure. On shirts with long arms, the sleeves fit snugly and do not fill up with water coming in at the wrist. Yes, these shirts take a bit of wriggling to get into, but once in the water, feel invisible and do help to keep your core body temperature warm. To remove, roll up in the opposite direction away from the body; shirt is inside out once off. Like any garment with Lycra content, do not put in automatic dryer. Hang to dry.

Water skier. Did exactly what I wanted it to do - be skin tight (not run up) and prevent my back/shoulders/arms from getting sunburn. It is a very snug fit. It's supposed to be. If you don't want that, either order up sizes or order a different product.

This review is to call attention to the sizing of the rash guard. I recommend ordering a size up. I wear a size large (42/44 jacket) for just about everything. The large size of this one fit me like a sausage casing. I returned it and got an XL, which fits like a large should have. Other than that it's great. Flat seams, flexible, not too over-the-top graphics, "UPF ultraviolet protection" (that might just be marketing hype since any fabric between you and the sun will provide protection), good sleeve and body lengths, and comfortable when you get the correct size. Dries quickly. I especially like the "dusty blue" color; haven't seen it in any other brand.

This is a well-made, high-quality rash guard with a “performance“ fit that is meant to fit skin-tight. It fits VERY small: too small. My son has an athletic physique with washboard abs and a tiny waist; he usually wears a small or medium but needed a large in this rash guard. Having figured that out (after returning first a small and then a medium), the fit, feel and look are perfect and my son is delighted.

I have bought multiple times in long sleeve and short. Its a fantastic shirt, very comfortable. They run small but, they are supposed to be very snug fitting. I wouldnt say you need to size up. The short sleeve can tend to pinch on the sleeve, but i do have a kind of fat arm so if your in shape, probably not an issue. It only happens after wearing all day, and not so much that I wouldnt recommend. Very happy with these and will buy more

I am extremely disappointed with the product. The sizing is completely off—what was supposed to be an "Extra Large" fit more like a "Small." The shirt is ridiculously tight and uncomfortable, making it impossible to wear for surfing or any other activity. The quality of the material is also far below expectations; it feels cheap and not durable at all. Due to these issues, I decided to return the shirt. However, despite following all the return instructions, I have not received my refund. It's frustrating to deal with a company that doesn't stand by its products or offer proper customer service.

Although the sizing chart was correct with my measurements it was a skinny tight fit which is not what I was expecting

...the XLARGE is equivalent to MEDIUM. Frustrating, and waste of time, money and effort. I normally wear a LARGE, but going from this XL Fit, i wud have to order XXXL....something is very wrong, unless the product size label is mismatched.
