400ml Metallic Spray Paint - Elegant Gold

I've been after a champagne gold spray paint for a while and all the others have been more orange gold than what I was looking for. This is the perfect gold paint needed for my wedding items.

I bought the copper as I wanted rose gold, based on other reviewers' recommendations. I am very happy with the results - the colour is very close to rose gold, lovely coverage, very easy to use. I bought it to cover the plastic plant pot bases of some artificial plants I had from the Swedish company. Rather than spending more money on plant pots I just sprayed them (and the black 'soil') with this copper paint. The effect is wonderful - green plants in a rose gold pot with rose gold soil - I intentionally didn't entirely coat the soil in paint, so some of the black shows through. I then went around the room to see what else I could spray and had a lot of fun then had to stop myself before I turned everything in the room rose gold. I will definitely buy more (but for the sake of my family's sanity, I'll try the other colours). We're going to have a very shiny house.

Bought to help refurbish parts of my Classic Saab 96 V4, namely the wiper motor casing and small items like headlight relay and voltage regulator. These were initially brushed aluminium and silver painted in the case of the wiper motor. The aluminium parts turned out great, the finish almost mimicking the brushed look, not quite chrome, but not far off. The wiper motor casing turned out slightly better, don't know why, maybe I just needed a bit of practice. My expectations were low when I purchased this paint but to be honest I didn't really have a need for high chrome finish on any of the items I sprayed so a shiny bright silver was a surprise. Planning to refurbish the clutch master cylinder next, which is a Lockheed, zinc coated steel, so again not a very shiny finish at present as is, but should be appreciativley shinier when painted. Durability is hard to determine at the moment as I want to make sure the paint is properly hardened before testing, and may give the items a couple of coats of clear lacquer anyway. Clear lacquer will probably dull the finish a little. Not sure if this paint will resist the effects of dot4 brake/clutch fluid, I'll update this review when the time comes. May spray a ukulele with it, see how I fair.

great stuff, we used this over black to make some flexi pipe blend in with our antique brass bathroom fittings. worked perfectly and pretty easy to use too

I am really impressed with this paint I am new to working with spray cans so I was nervous but it has applied beautifully in an even coat. A couple of pieces of advice however, shake the can well before you use it especially the first time as mine has sprayed slightly darker on the top where I began, I am doing steampunk/distressed look so I don't mind that but if you want an even coat then make sure it is well mixed. Also, if you need to hold the item you are spraying then wear gloves as this is NOT easy to get off your hands.... I found this out the hard way lol. Finally, don't spray too heavily, just very lightly until it is even as mine has ran slightly because I applied too much, again at the top where I started, it is probably better if you spray a test piece of something to get used to how much pressure to apply when spraying. This is completely opaque and applies quite a thick coat, I sprayed a glass bottle and it is well coated there would be no light shining through it. The colour is absolutely beautiful, I will be buying more, would absolutely recommend, 5 stars :)

very good cover on this spray paint after others failed .

I bought this on the strength of how good this makers ‘Gold’ version is, which I purchased after reading the superb reviews on it, and it is a great product. Until deciding to give the ‘Chrome’ a try I have used a car spray paint which is sold as Aluminium, I have used that product for at least 10 years and it is superb. To try and produce a genuine ‘Chrome’ spray is a tall order and this product does not get there. In my view it is only about 10% more ‘Chrome’ than the Aluminium I use. It is still an excellent product with a great finish and good coverage and the spray nozzle as with the Gold version is quite good but I do find it discharges a bit too quickly for spraying small items and ‘floods’ the surface a bit but that maybe necessary due to the metallic content, the car versions are more controllable. I think labelling it as Chrome is not really that accurate.
