Good product.
Good reliable shaver, not too noisy and has a decent battery life.

Solid trimmer
First thing to know as it is a trimmer it won't get 100% clean shave. I have type 4c hair and it gets a pretty good trim down I really love the product. The shaving head doesn't do much but that's fine the trimmer itself is quite good

Decent trimmer
Decent bikini trimmer, quiet and easy to use. Battery life seems to be good too but I’ve also swapped out the normal batteries for rechargeable. Shape makes it easy to hold and use even at 37 weeks pregnant.

No fuss. Good at its job.
I had used Braun's product for the same purpose, previously. And had found that I don't have the patience required to get the job done. Braun required multiple go overs for optimum results. May be, I wasn't holding it right. But Philips gets the job done in one go and the cutting surface feels wider to get the job done faster. I had tried to multi-task while I was using the Philips facial hair remover and I could sense a discomfort, which I have not felt with Braun. It is obvious that holding the skin taunt and focusing on the job is the best way to get the it done. Great product. Totally recommend it.

Good trimmer but not for close shave
It's good if you're looking purely for a trimmer. The razor head that is meant for a close to the skin, bare shave didn't work at all for me. If you're hoping that this would revolutionise your shaving "down there" routine to avoid razor burn or spots - unfortunately this isn't great. If you want a close shave, you will still need to use a regular razor after trimming. However, it's fine as a trimmer in easy flat areas and pretty impossible to cut yourself.

Quality product
Really easy to use. The removable parts seem well designed and make it easy to clean. The variety of attachments is really good too.

Not as good as the older version, cheap and flimsy.
NOT LIKE THE OLDER VERSIONS!!! Very flimsy and cheaper looking and feeling, not worth it at all. I have purchased this model of Philips Bikini Trimmer before, about 7/8 years ago. It has served me really well and is still working perfectly. I almost couldn't believe it will last forever, and started to convince myself that surely the blades must be dulled somewhat, so went ahead and bought a replacement. Severely regret shelling out the money... this model is NOT A PATCH on the older versions. It's been changed so much as to bear no resemblance. I wish I could send it back but how can I when I've used it on personal areas? It would be like sending a pair of knickers back after wearing them. It's not done is it? Anyway. I wouldn't recommend this Philips Bikini Trimmer to anyone, there has to be better out there but ALAS why didn't the manufacturers leave it as it was? Here are the ways this recent model differs to the old model, and these differences are also the negative aspects of this item: OLD MODEL: lovely weight to it, compact, easy to hold thanks to cushioned silicone on the handle with slight indentations for grip, lovely deep vibrant purple colour, gives off a discreet buzz noise when using, never cuts skin, attachments work well. NEW MODEL: lighter and flimsy, harder to control, cheaper looking and feeling, purple colour is flatter and looks cheaper, THE NOISE LEVEL OF THIS MONSTROSITY IS OFF THE SCALE.. sounds like a demented hedge clipper, my adult son said "WTF MOM?!! what are you doing in there?!?" through the bathroom door. It's so loud, as other reviewers have said, and it has a sort of throttling rattling sound to it... Philips... are you tripping or something? Who is the insane individual who took the old version with it's gentle hum and decided it needed to be crazy loud and rattly? Shredded my skin in places.. the head is somehow not as sophisticated as the old one... the on off switch is kind of looser, whereas the old version had a nice sprung action to it. Even the attachments are cr*p on the new version, flimsier and the action on the battery compartment is again... inferior and not as sturdy or tight as the old one. The cleaning brush on the new one is half the size in bristles as the old one and not as effective. You can see the lower quality even in the little bag it comes in. The old version came in a silky pouch that has withstood scores of machine washing and feels nice to the touch... the new one looks cheap and flat in colour and sets my teeth on edge. There's loads more that is wrong with this (newer version of an old classic) product but I can't be bothered. I'm sticking to using the old one, for as long as it lasts.

A trusted brand.
The questionable colour aside this is a really good trimmer. I use the roller head for dealing with the peach fuzz which grows on the outside of my ears, and each of the clipper heads in other areas where hair is unwanted. Philips products are always good, and Panasonic products are good also.
