Honestly this is the best olive oil on the market. Both bottles have different and distinct flavors, both very pleasant. While they are not light olive oils, I have used them both to sear steak in a 500 degree pan without any terrible off putting flavor. To be honest though they shine as either a salad dressing oil or a dipping oil for bread. In either application their flavor will pop and make whatever the target food is feel special. The price is high for olive oil but I feel it is worth it and I will be ordering again.

It’s deliciously smooth yet has that little touch of peppery spice when you swallow. Yum!

Great product. You're wife will be pissed, if you use this good oil for cooking. It works great, but I had to replace it when she discovered that I used it.

From what I discovered reading up on olive oil it all said the same taste fruity and has a peppery taste in the back of your throat and will be in a bottle that is dark because it doesn't like light and hot places and this is what I found to be with this product. It is costly but you will benefit from the real deal.

I bought this as a gift set for my parents. We decided to test it out for a New Years Day Italian meal. We used the Awake, which is specifically for finishing and dipping. We had a lovely loaf of Italian bread we wanted to dip with the olive oil. On first taste it was apparent that the olive oil was rancid. This ranked as the worst olive oils I have ever tasted. I have tested numerous other olive oils and this ranks well below. I am unsure if this is a quality control issue, but for the amount of money that I spent I expected a high quality product. I would caution anyone from ordering this set.
