Key to best layouts
It is Brio - if you already know Brio then you know that it isn't cheap, it is really high quality and it lasts for years. What this pack gives you is the ability to get beyond loops and add crossings and a level of complexity you can't get any other way without bridges. Why do you care other than your kids love trains? This pack means that you can bring the track back on itself and get an awful lot more track into a confined space. A quick google images of track layouts will give you the idea. A must have for any advanced Brio builder - children to play with it optional!

Increase the complexity of the track layout, more fun!
Brio quality. Sturdy and useful track pieces, which increase the complexity of the track layout - a lot more fun for the kids. A few teething issues: the T-junction doesn't really work that well and the switching tracks takes a lot of the speed out of a free wheeling train (potentially derails it too). You can’t flip the pieces over to use the other side either (a feature I like in some of the other sets). The spherical shaped joins (when connected) have a tendency to leave a gap around the join, which again slows the trains down. I haven’t so far had an issue with spherical joins breaking (unlike other users). However, I can agree that the flat joints are seamless, stronger.

Essential Kit!
After having Brio mad children we now have a Brio mad grandson. Bought this set for him and we played with it straight away. He loved the flexibility/ extension it adds to the Brio he already has.

Super quality wooden railway
Great BRIO quality, albeit a little expensive - lots of advanced pieces to add junctions and extend a wooden railway.

Great Extension Pack
Wanted to gaveca more complex track and these pieces allowed that to happen. Lotsvof fun designing the track and working out how the trains would run around it.
