I always use it on wet hair , but when applying take care not to go to near the root , as this can make hair look greasy.

See no reason why it shouldn't work. Ive git very thick hair and I smooth it onto hair before drying with hair dryer.

Yes - I've got short hair which is VERY thick and I can air dry mine provided I've combed it into shape first!
