Comfortable, discreet, effective. Highly recommend
I bought these to use at clubs and gigs, as I wanted a replacement for the disposable foam earplugs I'd been using, which make everything so muffly and cause so much plastic waste. These are great! They are really comfortable in the ear, and block out all the heavy bass, while still leaving the music clear - even when stood near the huge speakers near the DJ. It's also quite easy to chat to people with them in, although they're so easy to put in and take out repeatedly. I can wear them all night with no problems or discomfort (which is impressive for me, because normally earphones start to hurt my ears after a couple hours). The little keyring case comes in really handy too - I keep it on my keys so I never forget to bring them with me, and then I attach it to my belt loop once I'm inside the venue, so I always have somewhere to store the earplugs when I go out into the smoking area to talk. Also, as someone who gets a little conscious of looking nerdy by wearing earplugs to a club (the social pressure! haha), an added bonus for me is how subtle these look in the ear. I got the colourless filter, and you really can't see them once they're in (inside a club anyway - I've never tried outside in the daytime). The first time I wore them, my friend kept touching my ear to make sure they were still there because she couldn't see them at all! Excellent quality, and excellent value (although who can put a price on not getting tinnitus?). Highly, highly recommend.

Insane sound quality but they aren't exactly perfect...
So far I have only ever used Alpine MusicSafePro plugs with mostly the silver filter. I go to lots of metal gigs and so clarity and definition of sound is crucial otherwise it all sounds absolutely terrible. All those guitars and vocals occupying the same frequency spectrum is a challenge especially at high SPLs. The Alpines are great for protection but the sound is not great, very low mid heavy, they tend to leave around the 150-400Hz range relatively untouched which makes for a very "woolly", "honky" undefined sound that masks all detail for guitars and vocals. On to the Senners. The thing with these is that when they are difficult to insert properly. I have a feeling that any review 3 stars or lower that complains about sound quality and isolation has DEFINITELY not inserted these correctly properly as they are difficult. When you succeed in inserting these they sit very deep in your ear canal and so you get this vacuum suction type feeling which is weird but holy hell the sound is insanely good. With these filters, you can hear literally everything in the mix and concentrate on each instrument if you want to, which is mad. I have never been able to do that at a gig. Needless to say I had no ringing walking out of the gig. Perfect. The reason these get 4 stars is that whenever you smile, shout, sing, laugh etc. your ear canal flexes and makes these plugs lose their vacuum "grip" and first you feel them slip out very slightly and you return to the Alpine woolly and honky sound. So you push them back in again and you return to the amazing sound quality. This was my night, repeatedly pushing these back in (mostly in the left ear but that's just my head). I think this slippage may be due to the material these are made of, they are transparent glossy silicon which is high quality but does not "grip" the skin of your inner ear as well as the matte, porous texture of the Alpines. I suspect that if these were made out of the same material as the Alpines they might stay deep for longer. Alas my quest continues (I think ill bite the bullet and go with custom molds eventually) however when these are inserted properly they sound incredible. Also Amazon supplied the wrong case but hey ho...

Perfect for so many situations!
I originally bought a set of these a few years ago, in an effort to protect my hearing going to clubs and concerts. The first thing that sticks out about these is the packaging - being able to throw these on my keys or into a bag is incredibly handy. They are small enough to keep them on you everywhere you go. The plugs come in sanitary packing inside the case, which I appreciate. For this version, I also appreciate that there are 2 sizes of plug in the package for a better fit (I used the smaller size). The sound dampening mesh needs to be moved between plug casings if you want to use the different sized tips - this was fairly easy with a bit of patience. Comfort-wise, my original pair were slightly bigger, and this smaller size is perfect. I used them for about 8 hours of almost continuous wear and didn’t experience any pain/pressure. I bought the second pair as I left my first set at home when I travelled to a concert - they arrived in less than 24 hours. These plugs have the effect of turning the volume down on the world, essentially. I still got all the high and low ends of the sound at the concert, but the best part about these is that you don’t wake up the next day with ringing ears. I would also really recommend these for anybody with sensory issues related to sound - they lower my stress levels a lot in high-noise environments, but I can still easily hold conversations with the people I’m with. These are easy to put in, stay in, and are comfortable. They’re also easy to remove, and pretty unnoticeable if you don’t want to wear very conspicuous earplugs. I don’t leave the house without them now and would absolutely replace these in the morning if I were to lose them. Value for money and perform perfectly for my needs, easy recommendation!

Perfect for rock concerts
Tested these yesterday at an At the Drive-In concert, and they worked wonderfully. I honestly can't go to concerts without earplugs, as my ears are very sensitive and even just a few seconds of being exposed to the high level of noise hurts both my ears and my head. I am very careful about my hearing as I love music and would hate to develop hearing issues. To my surprise, I didn't notice anyone else at the concert wearing earplugs. I, on the other hand, was very satisfied as these earplugs did exactly what the description says - lowered the loudness, while maintaining the same balance of sound quality, which cheap foam earplugs certainly don't do (I'm a bit of an audiophile, not to ridiculous lengths as some people are, but I do care about sound quality). I could hear all instruments well, the bass was not overpowering, the highs weren't muddled and the sound overall was full, not tinny. After the concert, there was no ringing in my ears, which felt great! One negative I'd have to mention was my fault - I should have chosen smaller earplugs, as these hurt the inside of my ears quite a bit due to being too large. I am a rather short woman (160cm), but foam earplugs used to fall out of my ears due to being small, so I thought these would fit better. However, the day after the concert my ears surprisingly didn't hurt in any way despite wearing the earplugs with slight discomfort for almost four hours, so I really have nothing to complain about. The metal key chain is handy too, and very sturdy. While inserting, you have to be careful to have the earplugs all the way in correctly. They don't fall out even when yawning or singing, and conversation can be heard well with them, while they block out the background "buzz" of the concert venue. Overall, it's a great product. If you're not protecting your hearing from the ridiculous level of noise at concerts, do yourself a favor and buy these.

Seemed to dull the experience
I bought two pairs of these for my partner and myself. We go to a lot of gigs and we were beginning to find that our ears were ringing a lot afterwards and worried about our hearing long term so decided to make a sensible purchase to help provide some protection. I was excited to give these a try, luckily a couple of days after they arrived we went to see Kings of Leon in Leeds. I used them during the support act and found that they were incredibly easy to use, I had no issues putting the earplugs in at all, they come with two sizes with removable filters so you can easily swap. They also fit well in the ear and come with a convenient little carry case which is just the right size so that it is not a nuisance when the case it attached to your key ring. With respect to the appearance of the item, the earbuds are nice and with them being clear they don't stick out massively when wearing them. I got the clear filter and earbuds and my partner got the green filter with clear earbuds so there are options for more stylish colourful earbuds but i preferred the clear more inconspicuous option. These are certainly a good few positives of this item. Negatives wise, I think these do dull the experience, arguably too much. I found that while listening to the support act, I could hear the bass at a dulled level which was great, they took away some ambient noise which was also great, but I did feel a bit deaf with them in, I couldn't hear my partner right next to me when she was talking, which was annoying and I found myself taking them out constantly to talk when we wanted to share thoughts about the bands. Also I found that it did cut out the quieter vocals and in some case took the edge off the guitar which made the gig feel different and muffled. I actually resorted to taking them out for the main act. I did try putting the earplugs all the way into my ear and half in. I found that half in worked better and took the edge off the music without damping the sound quality, but I'm not sure this is how you are supposed to use them. I was saddened by this as I really hoped that these would do the trick. I am exploring possibly getting some Loop earbuds instead as they do seem better from customer testimonials and reviews Hope this helps anyone thinking of getting a pair.

Super little hearing protectors
I bought these hearing protectors for concerts and when playing my gongs at larger venues. I suffer from a small amount of hearing loss and tinnitus so protecting my hearing from further damage is paramount. I've worn these Senner ear plugs a number of times and they worked perfectly. Unlike many other products I've tried, these ear plugs effectively reduce the nose decibel levels with little to no loss of clarity which makes them perfect for what I need! They are well made and being transparent are unobtrusive. The longest I've worn them is for nearly three hours. I soon forget that I'm wearing them and found them to be very comfortable. They come in two sizes with a handy robust metal container. Personally, I found the container a little bulky for carrying around and instead I use another smaller case to keep them safe when I'm out and about. I have friends who use the Senner case without a problem. As with any hearing protection, it is important to find something that suits your needs and which fits neatly into the shape of your ear. The other key point it to ensure that they are fitted correctly. I know that this sounds (no pun intended!) like common sense but I know from working in noisy environments how many people fail to get this right and then blame the hearing protection. I like the fact that Senner believe 100% in their product and offer an unconditional money back guarantee. My personal experience with these ear pugs has been wholly positive and I highly recommend them.

Good sound blockage
Pretty good. Can be carried on keyring so always with you. Block out loud noises very effectively but conversation can still be heard. I was at the front of a Nine Inch Nails gig and they stayed in my ears even with all the jostling.

Very effective without obscuring the music
Just to initially contextualise my review, I bought these for 3 reasons:- 1: Getting fed up of suffering temporary partial hearing loss after gigs for a day or so. 2: I suffer from hyperacusis - I find some high frequencies at high volumes that apparently don’t affect anyone around me to be excruciatingly painful. Doesn’t occur at every gig, and does not occur where expected and vice versa; Japanese grindcore\noisecore band – I was fine; melodic US indie band – arghhh, the treble was like hot needles down my ears 3: Late last year, I developed intermittent but persistent tinnitus that seems to be triggered by specific sounds. I hadn’t been to any gigs for months prior, and I do not play music at high volumes. A hearing test revealed my hearing is as expected for my age. Either way – I was not going to let the tinnitus spoil my enjoyment of music, and I took it as a warning to wear hearing protection at any future gigs (when I should have done this years ago in view of the aforementioned reasons 1 and 2 above!). So, as some bands & artists are playing my area in the next few months that I really would like to see live, I decided to buy and try these earplugs. I am delighted to say, they are fantastic. They block out the potentially harmful volume levels, and you still get to hear the important thing – the music. In fact, I swear, they improve the sound quality somewhat when I did a quick comparison during a gig. No more harsh treble causing me painful distress. They also seem to filter out \ nullify bass reverberations \ distortions that obscure the actual music. After the gig, no more muffled hearing too! They also fit great and are very comfortable.
