I have used many "olive oils" over the years - this is by far the best. As well as the common usages, i use in in my cake recipe - with excellent results. This oil in particular imparts a lovely flavour and a superior consistency. Many cake recipes call for sunflower oil. However there are questions concerning the wisdom of using sunflower products due to the degradation at high temperatures and a tendency to morph into trans-fats when re-heated. Also the omega 6 content of sunflower oil is much higher. According to current opinion the modern diet is too heavily weighted with omega 6. Olive oil may not be high in omega 3 but a good balance of the omega's can easily be obtained by a sensible diet. Back to the product in question. I can sum up with one word. Wonderful! David

This is a lovely oil with a subtle (not heavy) taste. It brings back memories of wonderful Greek food on many holidays on the Islands especially Crete. If you are wanting a good Olive Oil for both cooking and using on food, I can recommend this product. The packaging was good and the item arrived in perfect condition, value for money excellent as it is a big bottle.

Yes, we have that "but" again, the oil is good, the only thing that lets this down is I bought it for frying tuna steaks, but sadly, this is unable to reach high temperatures so that the steaks cooks properly. There's nothing wrong with the product, I guess this would be used more for flavouring dishes, rather than cooking with it. The product came well protected and tightly sealed, I think many will like this product for adding flavour to their food, it's just that I wanted to fry at high temperatures, but found this couldn't sadly reach it for me. I found this to be a very good quality olive oil. It’s nice and green in coloring. Slightly peppery in taste, but pleasantly appetizing. Delicious when lightly drenched over salads.

Good quality olive oil!

This oil is probably my favourite of all those I have tasted. It has just the perfect balance - not too soft, and not too peppery. Greek oil also is generally regarded as best for your health with low acidity and has avoided the scandals of the Italian olive oil industry. Also, Italy actually exports more oil than it produces - so, where does THAT come from? Add to that the fact that the Cretan diet is regarded as just about the best there is, with oil being perhaps the single most important factor, and this makes this oil unbeatable. It also comes from the place I was going to visit in 1986 until illness intervened and I never got there. So, by means of this oil, and some imagination, it is as close as I am likely to get. As the Moody Blues sang: Thinking Is The Best Way To Travel. Well, maybe second best.

Elea Creta Greek Organic Bio Extra Virgin Olive Oil is an oil which is of high quality. It tastes fresh and 'clean' on salads or breads etc. I like the fact that it is organic (bio) and recommend it for quality, taste and value.

i put this in the fridge fir 6 days and it's still completely liquid - failed the test for real olive oil which gets solid in the fridge.
