Very good quality of product

So far I have tested this on a few leather scraps I painted, and it has worked very well. It’s matte and very smooth and seems durable atleast on the bits I used it on. I will be testing this on boots I’m working on so will update the review if anything changes. So far though it was easy to use and the instructions are very clear. It’s definitely matte, but I’ll be getting some glossy ones to try out aswell to see how they appear too.

Typically finishers are to give a certain shine or have your paint last (to my knowledge). I painted one part of the jacket with the finisher and another part left without. I’ve not had any paint cracks or lasting issues even without it. People online say you need a finisher for leather but honestly I think with the right paint you probably don’t really need this. If you need it, it feels like it does the job, but feels like you can do without it honestly. Dries in a similar time to your paint, a few hours I’d say.

After putting this on my freshly restored Mercedes leather steering wheel, I had to stip the steering wheel right back as this coating left a rough finnish with white powder residue that stuck to the black leather. I do not recommend this in this instance.

Gave the red finish a very dull, almost pink appearance, even when applied very thinly, so ended up painting back over it. Looks hardwearing but the dulling of the colours made it a bit useless for me.

I love this stuff, i have 3 different top coats to hand including this one. My Air max 90s look good as new, coated them with the white paint of the same brand, then finished them off with this and they look fresh!

A bit too matt for what I wanted but works well.

Class. Used this to make my first Gears of War themed leather jacket and it turned out perfect with this finisher. I've worn the jacket out and had my uni bag on my back while carrying so no issues rubbing against it.
