Im a female aged 53 yrs young who loves to go fishing n my 4.5 yr old grandson wanted to come too! lol So I thought this looked like a bargain, when u consider all u get - everything u need (apart from bait) to go fishing straight away. Came really quickly too! Best £19 I’ve spent in ages! We’ve set it up ready n he’s really excited to go fishing later in the week 😉 Excellent value for money n to see if your kids like fishing - so you’ve not got to spend out a fortune to begin a wiv. Love it Only fault I can find is that it could do wiv instructions on how to set up the rod/reel - I know, so wasn’t a problem BUT if you have no fishing experience then you’d have to YouTube how to set up b4 leaving the house - especially as in some remote areas there’s no phone signal, or many people about to ask, which could result in one upset child. Worth bearing in mind if you are a beginner 😉

I loved using this out at my local pond with my friend! However, we was just about to catch some Carp and the line tangled, it was so bad we had to cut it. Great rob and set in itself just the fishing wire is poor quality in my opinion and if changed could open up a lot more fun.

I bought this as a quick easy (joke) rod to set up for when I go carp fishing at my local, my usual rods are 12ft 3.25 test curve so it’s a bit heavy duty and a lot of effort to set everything up for the carp I get in this fishery (about 8lb-19lb) The reel has a very quick drag, which makes it hard to set when you got a good fish on the line but it’s still works well, the rod is good quality giving me a good fight with the fish and making then fun to catch **Quick delivery**

Decent little kit for the money. Perfect for a young child to have a go and learn how to handle a rod. Reel a little naff but can’t expect a £250 shimano to be in there. Very compact and lightweight so takes up no room when transporting to the lake. Overall I’d say a good buy for less than 20 quid. No idea if it’ll last though but it’s had it’s first outing and even caught a fish!

Great little rod for the price and all the accessories are ok. But the box of Shot is ridiculous, even with the correct metal crimpers they will not squeeze closed. Absolutely impossible with your fingers and some wont even close with a pair of pliers! So i just threw them out, not worth the effort!

Bought this for my nephew and he loves it now started going fishing with his uncle
