I bought one for my nephew who had a back trauma 3 months ago. MRI scan showed no bone or disc injury that could be operated on. Unfortunately he has been left with constant severe lower back muscle spasms causing great pain and with minimal relief from strong pain killers plus diazepam. He is waiting for an epidural & facet joints injections.He has found this very easy to use. You just switch on, select which program you want and gradually turn up the intensity on each of the 2 channels using the arrow buttons. The timer switches it off at the end.It has helped ease the muscle spasm and he has managed to stop the diazepam. Other strong medications are still being used but this is the only thing that helps without any side effects.The customer care has been excellent. Fast delivery and even a follow up phone call to check how it was working and to offer tips on maximising the EMS sessions. He also took up the offer of buying more of the stick on electrode patches which this machine needs from time to time - there was NO hard sell and he felt the caller was looking after his personal needs working out and providing the best size elecrode pad for his use, rather than just trying to sell products. (I checked prices and he was given a very good deal on the electrode patches). Buy from here and you are getting service from a caring and a motivated company.It offers him a form of therapy he can manage for himself and gives him a sense of taking control of the pain (and without the drowsiness caused by diazepam.)Put simply: Ease of use 5/5, Effectiveness for muscle spasm 5/5, customer care 5/5

This is a good product and the battery lasts a long time. I only gave it four stars because it can also be used for pain relief - somehow, the manual doesn't say how. The presets are easy to use and you can adjust the parameters while using them. Nobody really wants to program this device because doing so seems kind of difficult. I also think that the case you get with it could have been made slightly bigger.

This was quite an expensive purchase and I read lots of information before buying. I hoped it would help to stimulate the leg muscles around my knees which have atrophied due to lack of exercise because of mobility problems. Despite it being an expensive piece of kit, the 'user manual' was totally inadequate for the lay person - you are advised to seek the help of a physiotherapist who is trained in using NMS so they can show you how to use the device properly. Frankly, if I could afford to consult a physiotherapist why would I need to buy one of these machines? And forget trying to source this on the NHS. So, whilst it might be brilliant if you know how to use it properly and effectively, unless you have a degree in electronics you will never be able to decipher the ridiculous 'user manual'. Waste of money.

I recently purchased the muscle stimulation machine above.I have damage in my spinal cord resulting in incomplete paralysis of my lower body. I recently used a functional electrical stimulation bike and was recommended to continue with muscle stimulation.Delivery of the product was efficient and timely.I use the machine several times a day on my quads and hamstrings - it is simple to use and effective. Very good value for money.

I bought this for my husband who was severely affected by a major stroke which affected both his left arm and hand and his left leg and foot, all of which suffered severe muscular rigidity. Good product. More technical settings for those that wish to use them.

I had a diving accident in sept 2014 and have been using since May 2015 as I have limited movement in right arm and hand I also use for cramp in left hand. Still work in progress seems to be helping
