Excellent, it works
Keeps supermarket potted herbs alive, fresh and useable for weeks. Looks great on a kitchen windowsill as well. I took the hint from some reviews and checked the quality of the join between the filler spout and the main body of the planter. Couldn't see any cracks but I put a smear of Araldite over the inside of the join just to be on the safe side. Certainly a watertight join now. Unlike the product description on the website, instructions in the pack make it clear that the felt wicks supplied to draw up the water can be re-used so you don't need to budget on buying a regular supply of them as if they are consumables. You do get spares included but it's just felt, you could make your own pretty cheaply.

Not cheap, but looks good and does the job
Update June 2023: following the issues with the product, I’ve claimed under the 2 year guarantee providing photos and receipt and have received replacements for the two items originally ordered. Excellent customer service and retain a five star rating for the product. Update May 2023: I’ve had this a year now and the spout has rusted and floods the windowsill. It’ll be interesting to see if they replace under the two year guarantee Initial review: Will keep herbs watered on a windowsill for a weekend. Looks nice and comes with extra water-drawing pads, as happy herbs root over them, although you can dry them out in the sun, remove the he roots and reuse them. Note it does not come with herbs. I grow pots in the greenhouse, or buy them at the supermarket for more unusual recipes, and this keeps them useable for longer.

Great product, herbs have thrived.
Well made, easy to use and aesthetically pleasing. I've had no issues with water leaking from the spout, looks like Cole & Mason have fixed this issue. I received one of these as a gift, and have bought another one since - supermarket herbs just keep on going using this product! One thing to note is that plants often have a tendency to root into the pads, so the plants may need lifting and rotating once or twice a day after they grow to a certain size - although this is probably a sign that the herbs need dividing or repotting into a new/larger container... The pads have lasted well, coming up to three months they've needed 2 or 3 rinses, and look a little worn out now, but I think there may be another month left in them. (The 'legs' of the pads are a little fiddly to thread down into the slots in the tray, but this doesn't need doing very often).

It really works in keeping herbs fresh.
This bit of kit is fantastic, so much so that I intend to buy another triple and my daughter has requested one as well for her kitchen. I love having herbs on the go on my kitchen window shelf but they seldom last more than a few days. Almost a month ago, when I received my herb keeper, I put in a supermarket pot of parsley and a dying pot of basil. The parsley has multiplied ten or twelve times and the basil, after a trim, is flourishing well. I have added a pot of chives since. I thought it was a bit expensive when I first looked but I think it will recoup its price before too long at the rate I buy and watch die fresh herbs.

Leaks! - You’ll need to buy some epoxy glue too!
The good: They look great! Once you’ve sorted the problem (see below), the self watering aspect works great, and the watering lip allows you to easily check the water level and top up as needed. The bad: These leak! Where the watering lip meets the container, the seal/weld/adhesive is not water tight, and will leak over your countertop or window sill. Worse still, it’s a slow leak, so it will catch you unaware and you’ll come home to a flooded or damaged countertop. Solution: Alongside your order, buy some epoxy glue and get it right into the join, leave to dry, and then use as normal. It’s a simple fix (that you shouldn’t have to do!), but if you love the look of these, and the self watering aspects, it’s not too hard to get them working correctly without them leaking all over your home! Alternatively you could fill them to below where the watering lip meets the container, but it kind of defeats the point in buying a self watering pot, as you’ll be topping up more frequently.

Brilliant idea
I have brought severely different plant pots/containers over the yrs to put on my kitchen side, this is the first one I have brought that you put the herb pots in,instead of replanting them, I have had my herb pots in their for over a month now and they still going strong. It looks really nice, nice and thick Well plastic well worth the money. Very impressed.

No leakage (with silicon applied) and looks pretty
It's right that the design isn't very clever because it leaks but I followed the advice from one of the other reviewers and bought that silicon stuff. It was easy to apply and now I have a fully functioning very pretty pot for my chives.
