These are wonderful! I wanted something that would keep parts of the Christmas meal hot whilst cooking the rest. The oven never seems to have enough room on the day. I put boiling water in one to test it and six hours later the water was still hot to the touch. The shape is really elegant as is the classic decoration around the lids. Good quality, good value!

Very good containers to keep food warm and put on the table I would recommend them

As recommended, heat before use and the food stays hot for several hours. I usually use china bowls on the table for entertaining, but these are so much better, I don't care they are plastic as they are easy to pick up to circulate round the table and great to put lids on to keep warm ready for seconds. So practical. Just remember to read the instructions and not use washing up liquid with lemon in as it states it can tarnish the inside.

Some pros and cons. I put roast potatoes in the largest pot. They stayed very warm indeed! However, they also "steamed" so that they lost their crunchy edges. So, I wouldn't advise putting anything that is supposed to be crunchy in these dishes. However, anything else will stay warm - as long as you can get your guests to put the lids back on! Otherwise the whole point is lost. (I will beat my relatives into submission next time I use them.) They are quite big and use up a fair bit of space on the table. They look okay - if a little "dated" in style. Easy to wash up. Stored away now until the next family gathering. NB. I noticed one reviewer said they couldnt get the lids off/open. There is a "twist shut" action that keeps the lids from falling off in transit (from kitchen to table). If you twist the lid it will open/shut perfectly well I found.

They look great - food kept warm for hours! We were so surprised and no spillage on the journey to the venue - really would recommend - washed up great as well
