This isn't the first grab bar I've installed. It is the first i've installed in our house indoors. They are easy to work with, and are very sturdy. After about a year it looks like new. The one I installed indoors was installed against an uneven trim piece. It is solid as a rock.

Good quality. Looks fantastic. Just be sure that you know what your doing during install. Have secure mounting location. Don't buy the cheaper bars. Moen has good quality bars. I recommend the ones that hide the screws.

Added this bar and its 12" companion to the guest bathroom tub/shower when we needed to use that facility for a couple of weeks. While I did not install it myself, the contractor (doing other work in the house) who did it used my impact driver to do so. He used his tile bit but they are readily available at the "big box" stores. So, could have done it myself but got lazy. Pretty straightforward installation. Find the studs (hardest part), pilot the holes through cultured marble and sheet rock, and drive the screws (nice and long and heavy duty) in. I will say when I was trying to decide what what length to get for 16" OC studs, I said a few things under my breath about there not being (that I found in this styles) a 16" bar for level installation. However, installed at an angle (low end at the back of the tub and high end at the faucet/shower head end) spanning 2 studs. It has worked out very well for a couple of oldies to feel more secure (the "peened" rough surface helps with that) getting in & out & standing there showering.

Very safe and does a very good job on making sure showers are safe.

Lifelong Moen buyer - their QC and product support are second to none. This grab bar is a good looking, quality product. Would definitely buy these without reservation. The ONLY challenge I had, and this is not Moen’s fault, is that the anchor kit I had to use to install into a fiberglass shower with a 1 3/4” gap between the face of the shower and the stud behind it, attaches (extremely solidly - GREAT anchor kit) protruding from the face of the fiberglass shower about an eighth of an inch, resulting in the flange covers of this bar being an eighth of an inch from the shower wall. Nothing a neat bead of caulk can’t solve, but it would have been nice if the flange covers could end up flush with the fiber glass wall.

This grab bar looks fantastic. I installed this for my mother who required a grab bar in her bathroom. Since all of her fixtures and hardware were polished brass, we chose this option to be consistent. It is a very nice grab bar, looks great, and was not too difficult to install. You will need to get an anchor set to install this if you are installing horizontally as it is not a length where both sides can hit a stud As far as price, I feel like they overcharge for the brass version relative to the standard look. However, if your current bathroom contains fixtures/hardware with the solid brass look, this is the ticket and you won't be disappointed.

Strong safe, and useful

I bought this Moen 24 inch grab bar for my 97 year old mother who needs a little help standing up do to a bad knee. Mounted this grab bar across from the toilet on the opposite wall so she can hold onto it when standing up from toilet. As for this Moen being easy to install, I have to say that it depends on what surface your installing it to. My mother's house is a cement block home, so having installed several of these Moen's in the past on the bathtub/shower wall, I use a masonry drill bit, just a bit smaller than the screw, to drill through the sheetrock and insulation back to the concrete blocks. I then secure the Moen grab bar with Tapcon screws long enough to bite about 1 inch into the concrete blocks. This gives me peace of mind knowing that it will not pull out and fail. I weight 238 lbs and use my weight to try these Moen's out before I'm satisfied they are safe for my mother who weights about 130 lbs. Amazon's price was about $10 cheaper than the two big home supply stores near me, and Amazon had white in stock with overnight prime delivery, which the other stores were out of.

Good quality stainless steel grab bar. Can’t find anything close to this quality on other platforms or the retail shops in SG.

The areas where you need to install the 3 wood screws, had sufficient holes to fit on the 1 1/2 inch wood stud.

No complaint with this little gem. But you do need an experience handyman or a pro to install.

Easy installation. Moen quality. Recommend.
