Great little strips
These little strips are amazing, I have been making cakes for thirty years and now Iam making a 12 inch carrot cake for my sons wedding. I want it to be perfect and used these strips And the most perfect cake I have ever baked came out, flat top (no cutting the dome off leaving crumbs) perfectly cooked (i gave it 15 more mins in the oven).I will never bake a cake again without these bake even strips again, wish I had known about them years ago, it would have saved many disasters. If you want a perfect cake use these.

Really do make a difference!
I have cooked many, many cakes and whilst I would like to say that I waste a lot by cutting them level I do not. because what actually happens is I eat the pieces I cut off. which is not really a problem for me but when I have to cut a cake at its lowest point to level it off I often have to bake an extra sponge to get the desired height in a complete cake. was sceptical of these strips as some of the reviews were less than complimentary but had to try them for myself, and I must say I was very impressed. I let them soak for a good 30 minutes then fastened them to the tin (you can connect several together for larger bakes if required). I sat nervously watching through the oven door as the cake evenly rose to a height I have only previously wished for. the strips do brown slightly after a couple of uses, but then you are putting something wet into a hot oven and that's what happens. regardless, there is no sign of them falling apart and the discolouration doesn't affect their functionality at all. the only downside is I now have less spare cake to eat!

Good and versatile product
Update: I purchased the long baking strips and am pretty satisfied with the quality and how well the product works. The product itself is decently priced but the issue was I did not read the description carefully enough and I thought the package contained six long strips instead of it having three different sized baking strips. So be careful not to make the same mistake.

No more dome tops!
Where have these been all my life! I didn't even k ow these existed until I was watching a baking video on YT After soaking in water for 5 mins, put these around your cake tins and that's it! Your cakes will be light and fluffy, evenly bakes with no hard edges and flat tops. No more domes to cut off! This makes it so much easier for putting your cakes together and decorating them Once you bake with these, you will never be able to bake without them again

Wish I’d known about these a long time ago!
I love baking as an hobby and just always thought domed cakes would be my future. My cousin asked me to make her wedding cake and so I did some research into getting flatter cakes and saw about these. May be a little dramatic to say they’ve change my life, but they’ve definitely changed my baking for the better! Cakes were lovely and flat and I got so many compliments on the wedding cake I made and these made all the difference. They’re a little fiddly once they’re wet but you get quicker at getting them into place the more you use them. Size wise I used them for 6” and 10” cakes with no issue and they’re not a bad price either. 10/10 would recommend!

Replacement for the old silver/grey ones
Bought these a while ago and just started to use them. Do a great job. Perfect size/depth for a sandwich tin and you get perfectly even rise. Wet them first by soaking in a bowl for a minute or so thats a given. if you have deeper pans use two even three. These enable you to bake a cake without having to level it off so no waste. It also helps it rise evenly and adds some moisture to ensure a moist cake

A fantastic find.
I hate having to but newspaper around the cake tin and tie with string, it's a chore I hate. So I started researching as I was sure there was something out there that was easier. I found it! and have been very pleased with the result, all you need do is make sure you wet the strips, squeeze them until the excess water is out, there are various sizes in the pack. I used two, one above each other on a deeper baking tin. Sure enough it works, no more over baked cakes on the outer rim. I have only made madeira cakes with it up to now, but I will certainly be using them for my Christmas cake this year, without having burnt edges. A winner!!

Helps to stop the dreaded dome...
I’m still getting used to baking with cake strips. The first time I used them the cake still had a done but I soon realised it was because I had placed them too low on the tin. Since moving them higher I’m getting much flatter tops which is great, I also find my cakes are coming out more moist and springy which is great. They are a little fiddly to attach to spring form tins (which are always my tins of choice) but the results are worth it. I’ve marked only one star for flavour as these are not an edible product... I would recommend this product for anyone who regularly bakes layered cakes.

I was skeptical about the Wilton Bake Even Cake Strips at first, but decided to give them a try for my baking. Mai più torte bruciate o con i bordi duri. Consigliata dal canale di cucina YouTube "preppy kitchen" ed é stato uno degli acquisti migliori in cucina. Le mie torte a strati vengono fuori perfette senza bisogno di dover tagliare via i bordi che prima mi uscivano sempre duri. Unica accortezza: difficile da usare con tortiere a cerniera, meglio quelle senza.

Das Produkt hält wirklich was es verspricht! Die Streifen sind super einfach zu handhaben. Man benässt sie und steckt sie in die laschen und so halten fest um die Backform. Der Kuchen backt gleichmäßig hoch, bekommt keine Kuppe und wird an den Rändern nicht stärker braun als im inneren. Man kann die Torte dadurch ohne Kuppe oder braune Ränder abschneiden zu müssen sofort Schichten. Ich werde nicht mehr ohne backen!
