How to set day and date?

Pull out the crown, there are two notch, you can rotate the crown clockwise to set the date in the first, rotate the crown counterclockwise to set the week; Pull out the crown to the second notch to set the time, thanks

Do you have to wind it up?

No you do not have to wind it up everyday. You only have to wind it to change the time or date for some reason like if the battery needs to be changed.

Got a couple of these....neither one lights up but the hands on both are luminous, Don't recall the manufacturer claiming that any of the watches in the group light up.

Nice looking and not the greatest quality but you get what you pay for...not really a fan of the strap so replaced with a better quality nylon two piece I had laying around..the lume on the hands is crap of course..wasn't expecting much anyway...the crystal I thought was plastic at first but then tapped it with my ring and it is glass but very thin that it sounds like plastic.. overall for $17 it's just a beater I was curious about..il probly just end up banging it on something by accident and crack the glass but we'll see how it holds up..

Addendum: DO NOT BUY THIS WATCH! I've been wearing it for about a week now. Two days ago, I got caught in a rain storm. The watch has now got water inside of it! Understand, I did not submerge this watch, just got rained on. It looks ridiculous with water inside of it. Just waiting for it to stop working now. Just received this watch, seems well built. However, the "glow in the dark" feature is almost non-existent. You get what you pay for.
